My fiance and I are thinking of having a wedding on Halloween in costume - and we would invite our guests to come in costume as well.

Anyone else have an experience with doing this or have any opinion regarding this?

My fiancee and I have issues and we work them out. However we have a issuet that is more constant so I am asking for help. The issue: My fiancee wants to get married this year, we have been together for 5 years, engaged for 1 year. We are in college, I am a graduating senior (May 3rd, 2008) and she is a first semester senior, if things go right she will graduate in the Fall. I am moving in May to my new job, but she wants to get married in april of 08'. I want to wait till April 09' to have time to graduate, get my foot in the door of my job, and a reduction of stress. I want to give her a nice quality wedding that will be fun and rememorable. So I am asking how to break it down so she understands without an attitude. I have already told her straight.

i spoke to the bride to be - and she advised she definitely doesnt want anyone wearing WHITE and would prefer people not to wear black but the men in suits will be wearing black suits so she said if women already have black dresses and dont want to buy anything else then she doesn't care she isn't fussed on the black rule just the white. i only have a black formal dress, obviously if i can find something else i will buy it but at the moment (i am picky) not looking good and got 4 weeks to go. firstly, can anyone show me any links with some dresses of what women can wear "formal" to a wedding and also are traditionally known as "cocktail" dresses good enough to wear to a formal wedding?

I live in St. Charles Illinois, and I'm looking for a nearby location to have my wedding reception. I'm not looking for a "reception" hall like Riverside, or Carlisle, but something a little cheaper. A place with room for 150 people and a large dance floor. ANY suggestions would be great!! Thanks. Also any other $ saving suggestions will be greatly apprieciated!

just as a small way to help her out. I thought doing those custom stamps might be fun! I found a great photo of two champagne glasses clinking and thought that might be a good one to use. We don't want our photos on the stamps.

There is an option for text on the stamp. If I were going to put text on it, what would I put? Our names and the date we were engaged? Or the date we are to be married? Or is putting text on them a dumb idea? : )

Thanks!!

Can a man who is in the process of becoming (or is) Muslim, marry a Catholic woman in a Catholic church? The man has been born and raised catholic. Could they be married in JUST a Catholic church? (Aside from the city hall )

The children will be raised Catholic like their mother.

Would it still be valid since her future husband isnt catholic anymore (but has had a baptism, and has done his communion and confirmation as a catholic) ??

I'd love some helpful answers! ( If you have nothing nice to say them please dont waste your time answering)
- Thanks!

What are your thoughts on addressing Save-the-Date invitations?

I know a wedding invitation gets addressed formally on the outside ("Mr. & Mrs. John Smith" or "Mary Jones") and the first names, children that are also invited, or "and guest" go on the inner envelope.

However, how do you address a save the date that doesn't have an inner envelope and is decidedly less formal? I want to be sure people know that their kids are invited and/or they can bring a guest.

What are the steps I should take? I have two years, but need to figure out who pays for what, etc.

Also, since the proposal was private, should I have an announcement party or just send letters?

I have sooooo many questions.

I'm starting a business as a wedding and party co-ordinator and want to know, in your opinion, if you were to hire a wedding planner, how would you like to see them dressed? I need a new wardrobe and want to know general opinions.

My relatives who I'm all close too keep getting married, and keep getting divorced, then keep getting married, etc.

Each wedding is a time for "gifts", but I'm getting kinda burned out doing this.

How do you tell your relatives that you just want to get them gifts on their first wedding?

I have a big inkling that my fiance aunt hates me. Seriously...I hate it when I think about his aunt not liking me...I mean, she offered to pay for the invitations to be re-printed because
a. the date wasnt on one line
b. our wedding website was on the invite
c. there was not a comma where she thought there should be (We used verse off of a different wedding website, and there IS NO COMMA!)

She made a comment to my fiance's mom about not having enough matching stuff on our registry...

AND
I work today, the day after Christmas, my fiance's uncle was having a family get together today...well I would've been able to go because it was at four and i get off work at five...
well his mom told us yesterday "theres been a time change and I think my sister had something to do with it"
Now i can't go because it's at 11 AM...

I honestly feel like she hates me and is doing whatever she can to make it hard on me...I wanted to go so bad to the family gathering...
