I think it is great, even better that everything still fits! It can remind you of the vows you made and make it fresh in you mind again. Sounds like fun! You should make a day of it and go out to dinner with friends after or just the two of you. Have fun!!!!!

I wouldn't say it is a dumb idea, it isn't something I'd do though. I agree with an earlier poster who said just get anniversary pictures done. The wedding was almost 3 years ago, get pictures to celebrate being married for 3 years instead of focusing on the past.

YES do it! I think it is a great idea.

My grand parents never had wedding photos taken. On their 50th wedding aniversary, they had to have a specialist take their high school photos and turn them into a portrait that made them look as if they were taken as a photo together.

SO yes - take a photo now in your wedding clothing.

I think it's a great idea. You should definitely go for it. It doesn't matter where you get the picture taken. You just want to cherish the moment you two got married. Good luck!

At this point in time, I think it's a bit of a waste of money. I mean, you'll have the pictures of you in your dress and him in his tux; but it won't be true.

You're wedding day pictures are once in a lifetime. They are suppose to capture the day you got married. You'll never be able to re-create that moment. I also guarantee, the pictures willl not be to your liking. You'll get them and all they will be is posed pictures with a pre-picked background.

You don't have your bridal party or your parents. You don't have thee setting you did at your wedding.

You are going to spend money to re-create something that can't be re-created. Save the money and maybe in 2010, you can have a vow renewal for your 5th anniversary. Then, you can take pictures.

honestly yes. spend the money on a family portrait instead. Don't FAKE your wedding day 2yrs later. PICTURES are to capture memories... don't just take pictures in a wedding dress so you have them. Spending the money on a family portrait (i see you have a child) would be much more precious to have in the long run.

It's actually a really good idea but you should go to a real photographer not Penneys.
