just as a small way to help her out. I thought doing those custom stamps might be fun! I found a great photo of two champagne glasses clinking and thought that might be a good one to use. We don't want our photos on the stamps.

There is an option for text on the stamp. If I were going to put text on it, what would I put? Our names and the date we were engaged? Or the date we are to be married? Or is putting text on them a dumb idea? : )

Thanks!!

I am referring to postage stamps that you customize, in case I wasn't clear. Thanks!!

I would just do names, the dates may confuse some people- the engagement date, the party date and the wedding date- all those numbers!!!!!!!!!!! Or do a funny little quote like "The Big One" or something like that.

To be realistic, you are much more into your engagement, the parties, plans, etc. than any of your freinds are. They may not even notice a custom stamp, I probably wouldn't. They aren't apt to collect all these small pieces of memorabilia for a scrap book either. I think a lot of things people do are just a waste of time and money. No one but you will remember any of it within a month. Consider what is really important just to you and your fiance before spending money on this type of commercialism.

i like the idea of champagne glasses plus the wedding date.

things to consider: is there any likelihood the date would change? would anyone even notice it on the stamp if it did...

since the stamps would essentially be seen only by the folks who received the invitations, what's wrong with a couple of head shots on the stamp? afraid a postal sorting machine will recognize you? :)

look at lots of alternatives and pick the one[s] that feel most comfortable to you.

is there anyone who'd know that answer better than you?

i doubt it.

not even me..... :)

I did the same thing...(except pictures of ourselves)...you could put the date of the wedding (if you know it). If you are just doing the postage for the engagement party invites...why not put the date of the party and your names (first names)

I think that both your names would personalize them and even though your photo wont be on the stamps having your names would be cute

i like the text idea but either don't put a date or put the upcoming wedding date. Just your names would be cuter.

If you're going to use text, you would put your name and date you are to be married. the date you were engaged wouldnt be appropriate.

The date you are to be married.

That was nice of you to pay for the postage.

Your names would be a cute idea.
