BTW some of us bridesmaids would have had to perform at thier party had we lost!

Why not French maid costumes? With appropriate undergarments of course. If you'd like something more conservative, then they could wear aprons (as frilly as possible, of course).

If they have to act & perform as maids, then all the guys should dress-up as maids, but make them dress-up completely from head to toe, have the groom & his buddies dress-up as the bride & bridesmaids, maybe even turn all the guys into strippers & make them dance & put on a lingerie show, you might even want to think about having the guys wear lingerie under their clothes on wedding day.

OOoooohhhh the possibilities!
They would expect you to give them bikini's and underwear...so I think I would spend the money to rent a nice pink bunny suit - just like the kid wore in the Christmas Story movie...and maybe a hot dog or something like that.
OR- make them do that "design your wedding dress out of toilet paper game" with nothing but their undies on and judge who gets to be your stool for the rest of the time.
