Pick colors that fit the season, or your favorite colors, or ones that translate well into flowers etc. Another option, select attendant gowns or fabrics for them, and go from there. My sister, found 5 attendant gowns being sold for almost nothing in a newspaper ad, she purchased them and chose colors to match.

I went by the season, but that's not mandatory. I'm getting married in October so we chose fall colors - mostly burnt oranges, yellows, & browns. If you don't want to go by the season, just choose your favorite colors that go together well. My best friend's favorite color is light yellow & her boyfriend's is blue & they are planning to use both colors in their spring wedding. I think that's a neat idea as well.

I would go with the colors that fits best in the season you're getting married. OR you're favorite colors.
My wedding was in June, and I had sage green, pink, and white..those also happen to be my favorite colors.
My friend got married in June also, and she had brown and red as her colors.
It really just depends on what you like. Some classic colors that you could have any time of year would be black and pink. Or even Brown and pink.
Good luck!

We didn't choose colors til we went dress shopping! The bridesmaids fell in love with a printed dress, so we went with the main colors from it - for a July wedding then, the colors were pink, lilac, yellow and light teal.

First, think of the formality of your wedding, the time of year and the site of the ceremony/reception. If you are having a really formal wedding, you aren't going to pick lime green and hot pink as your wedding colors. Also, if you are having a winter wedding, are you going to have yellow and orange as your colors. Probably not.
Also, make a list of colors you just hate. Sometimes focusing on what we don't want, leads us to a faster answer. For example, I hate pastel colors. So, I already know to cross off any combinations like that. Also, ask yourself colors you like in your home.
Often, the colors we use to decorate our home; reflect the type of theme we are looking for in our wedding. I love neutral colors; like champagne, ivory, black and even sage green.

When I was planning my wedding, I knew I wanted it in the spring, so I chose a springy color. I liked blue, so I choose light blue and a darker blue. But then, I knew I wanted something formal and something special to both of use. So I chose the school colors of the college we both went to.

I agree with the above you can base your choice on what time of year your getting married or go with your favorite colors, I chose mine farely simply b/c they're 2 of my fav colors (pink and white) and our wedding planner suggested having an accent color to match so we chose silver for that, it just depends on what colors you like my colors helped me choose everything for our wedding

the way i did it is to simply pick your favorite color - whatever matches you and your hubby to be
for example...purple looks horrible on me (although it would be a nice color for someone else and can be an awesome spring color)
match the colors that match your personality
my fiance and I are: golds, reds, oranges, royal blues...etc. Depending on the season that we decide to get married we will just simply choose lighter shades

Feeling Blue? Wear orange
Orange is the color of the sun and creative energy. It lifts spirits and energizes.
I have a lot of blue: the color of truth, devotion, calmness, and sincerity. It promotes meditation and independence. I have blue in the living room.
Green signifies nature and healiing and gives a feeling of renewal and rejuvenation.
Violet is associated iwth decadence and luxury. It makes us feel mysterious and sensual. Some in the living room.
Yellow: light yellow being my favorite and people tell me it looks good on me.
it suggests joy, gaiety, and merriment. It is the color of intellect and reason.
Red (my hubbys bedroom-hospital bed) signifies passion, strength, and courage. It gives a sense of confidence and sensuality. ( I have at times thought about making my bedroom oriental - red).
