If me and girlfriend had had baby and he kept her last name and now 4yrs later we are getting married would you marry her if she wasn't willing to change his last name. (she is willing to change her's to schroeder but wants to keep his purdy) so we wld be schroeder and his last name wld be purdy. should I still agree to get married. and the main reason this should be done because god forbid she die then my son would go to his grandfather and I wld have to contest.
the baby is mine but with out my last name if she die i don't get automatic custody do i

I am too cheap to buy a wedding unity candle so I got a nice plain white candle from AC moore that is the proper size. It's just under 3" in diameter so I wanted to glue flat back crystals to it to make it fancy and the "proper" size for the candle holder. I know normally with candles you use wax but they crystals are small and I have 100s of them (got them for free!). I wanted to cover the whole candle. I don't have a problem with gluing 1,000 crystals to a candle (gives me an excuse to watch tv) but what can I uses as the "glue". Do they make special candle glue??

I'm from a small town but I'm having a somewhat large wedding. (400) My wedding is a local church. A basic ceremony not too long. I'm having a buffet line with Brisket, Turkey, Corn, Green Beans, Salad, Rolls, Chessy potatoes and of course wedding cake. Beer and Margaritas for Alcohol. D.J. for dancing. What do you think? For example, if you only inviting a friend without a guest..... what's the best way to word it so they don't fill in 2 on the reply card.
I have been hearing horror stories with invites- how they invited people without guest and they just filled the reply cards in with 2 anyways.

Anyone have a "fool" proof way of wording it??

We are in a very small building that only holds a 150 max so I can't have extra people coming!

my wedding is just few months now. my fiance just confessed to me that he had a son ,i asked him how. He said he left the mother because she was too troublesome but they already had a son . i dont know how i will tell my parents about this because my parents especially my mother will not allow me to marry him if i should tell her that my husband to be already had a son(my mother use to tell me that the experiences she had in a polygamous home ,that she would not allow me to have it).
But what surprises me most is that my husband to be use to call the ex-wife and they will talk for many hours which i believe could affect my wedding.

I pose this quiestion because I am married and I would like for my wife to take my last name; not only because it is what is done when you are married but because I have been with her for 4 yrs during the birth of her first child thats not mine, Two that are mine & helping her take care of her lil brother. Her first child doesn't have my last name but I want him to because I have been thier signs day one of him being in her and having him, so I have been fighting for that as well. I have been thier even signs her farther decided to leave. I have helped take on the responsibility of helping with her brother signs he was 11 to now he is 16 even though she states that hey I should not have because she did not ask me to But !I feel that if I am with you and we live together than I do not have to be told to do this as a man I do it automaticly. i mean it should not be hard to take a mans name for family sake ! I want to make the dinner, instead of getting it through a catering company, which could cost more. It consists of shrimp cocktail, meatloaf, mashed potatoes and corn, breadroll and iced tea. That is going to cost us 35.00 a plate. Dont you think I should do it myself and cut the cost down. My fiance says he doesnt want me to get my hands dirty. But if you think of it, the mashed potatoes and corn are not expensive and they are charging for labor. So our budget will be less than expected. So do you think I should listen to my fiance and spend that extra money that a plate shouldnt cost, or get my hands dirty as to wake up early and slave over a hot stove? What would you do if you were in a tight budget?

Instead of wearing a white wedding dress, which symbolizes purity and virginity, could you wear another color dress? Like red or gray, blue, black--anything but white. I don't want to wear white at my wedding, even though I'm sure I'll still be a virgin at that point. It's just so, I hate to say it, passe. EVERYBODY AND THEIR MOTHER (literally if your parents were married) WEARS IT! I love color anyway. But I don't know if I could bear people thinking I slept around with the groom or any man.

She is my friend, and I was walking with walking with her and one of her friends. Suddenly her friend said she left something behind and walked off. We were left alone and talked for a good hour alone, and she asked to go places to show me some things. I think I was set up to be alone with her! I just want to know why she stayed. I have been dreading this..... We can only have a 150 max at the place, and I would like to cut it down to 100 so you figure 125 invites.... I have a big stack of my relatives and his to go through and start cutting out.
What's your best advice for getting through this!?
Anyone have a system? :)


FYI- we already cut out children under 15. (please don't make nasty comments or lecture me, it's my personal choice not to have children there.)

PS- Is it rude to invite people without dates?? My FI has a lot of single friends who are not in relationships, I really didn't want to let them bring dates. We are paying almost $100 per person and I rather have more family there then some girl they meet at the bar last weekend. What do you think?
