Heck yes it is. You can go and get married wherever you please. My man and I are going to later on, look into resorts, most of them have marriage packages and provide the priest for a certain ammount. Get married and have your honey moon at the same time, Be where you want to be with the only two people who really matter in the marriage. F*ck the big weedings to much stress, hassle, and money

Yes, just be sure you send out announcements afterwards!
My husband and I got married in Las Vegas at the Little Chapel of the West. It was very intimate and the "it's just us" feeling really solidified things because often you can't call your mom or your Aunt Janet about marriage woes lol. Anyway, it was very special, very cheap, and we got amazing wedding photos! Then, we went out to dinner to celebrate and came homoe to swim in our pool. Oh yeah, did I mention we live here!
We spent the money we would have spent on a wedding on a backyard landscaping transformation, a giant BBQ, and we payed of our truck! And we still got lots of nice gifts.
Good luck, and maybe I'll see you in Vegas!

Sure I think its a great idea. That way you or your family doesn't have to spend a lot of money on a big wedding and furthermore, it's a personal choice between you and your mate, so its okay to keep the ceremony between just the two of you.

Definately...saves a ton of money on a "day" that you won't even really get to enjoy because you will be getting your picture taken for half of it.
So goto Vegas...do the deed & come home & have a party for the relatives!!! Wish we would have done that...but sure do have alot of pictures!!!

It always has been, and sometimes the idea seems good, but I think most people - in the end- want their families and close friends there to celebrate this momentous event with them. If budget is tight, just keep it small.

aboslutely! I did....sorta. I think if you are going to get married and it is supposed to be the most special day of your life....then why put up with family you can't stand, fighting, stress, and butloads of cash you can't afford just so everyone can see how happy you are? Me and my hubby jumped on the back of a horse, rode up a mountain, and said I do.....just the two of us and the preacher. (and a witness of course)

Absolutely, in hindsight I wish I would have done this instead of the big wedding.
