Gifts from a son to his mother for his wedding? What is a good wedding gift for the mother of the groom?

Nicest gift would be a good daughter in law. One that will keep in touch with your mom and help her when needed. Have never heard of buying a gift for the groom's mother at any wedding I've attended.

I know to some it will sound strange, but in my experience as a wedding planner I have found that a hankie is a very good gift for mothers of the couple (Many happy tears shed on wedding days). There are now sites that specialize in making keepsake hankies (ones that are fancy yet usable and come with a poem or something of that nature).

Good Luck, I am sure anything you choose for your mother will make her happy.

I just got married in September and we struggled with what to get for our parents. In the end, we each bought our parents a very classic picture frame (we went with Tiffany's, but it could be from anywhere) with the idea that they would put a photo from the wedding in it. In the meantime, we each wrote a unique letter to our respective parents, and put that in the frame for when they opened the gift. Tears were everywhere and the letters are something they plan to keep behind the picture that they end up framing.

For my first wedding, after the photos were taken we promised my m-i-l a few little pics from the photographer. What she didn't know was that we had arranged for her favorite photo of us from the wedding to be blown up to a huge portait and framed. We gave it to her for Christmas and she cried. She couldn't stop hugging us.

So, um, a delayed gift can really knock the socks off her. :)

I never heard of the groom giving his mother a gift. I have seen the bride and groom present flowers to their mothers during the ceremony.

I think an embroidered hankie and/or and engraved picture frame and let her know after the wedding, you'll buy her one of the professional pictures to put in it

Never heard of that...but...

As I went down the aisle I stopped and gave my Mom one white rose from my bouquet. I told her I loved her and continued on down to my fiance.

After the ceremony and we were walking away from the JP, I stopped at my MIL and gave her another white rose from my bouquet. I told her I loved her and she was now my 2nd mom.

I had preplanned it so each rose had its own ribbon on it and could be tucked into my own bouquet.

Perhaps you could do that as a gift?

A pretty hankie with her initials stiched on it - she can use it at the wedding.
