Honey, you got honeymooning to do! Please don't stay till all the guests leave or you may be there all night. There is no set time to leave. My daughter and her husband stayed long than I thought they would, but it was because they sat down with the close family and had dessert before leaving for their honeymoon.
If you are having a sit down dinner after finishing the meal, and the cutting of the cake, stay about an hour. Everyone knows you are exhausted, and that sometimes you still have to travel or catch a plane for the start of your honeymoon. If you are having dancing then it could be real late, but stay and dance several dances, then make your leave. Don't forget the rice or birdseeds. Some people are using bubbles now. I promise you aren't going to hurt anyone's feelings if you don't stay till everyone is gone. This is one time you can leave the party early and it's ok.
Hoping you have the most wonderful wedding day. Many many years of happiness to follow.
God bless us all..........

My reception was from 1:00 til 5:00pm. We stayed the whole time. People came from far to celebrate with us how could we leave? Then my dad invited everyone back to his house, (only close family actually came) we watched the Belmont Stakes, unwrapped all of the gifts, endorsed the checks so they could be deposited, and left for the Honeymoon around 8:30. There was still tons of family at the house, but what can you do?

Don't wait til the guests leave. Most of them want to see you off! It really depends on what time the reception starts and how much fun it is! Ours started at 7pm and we had sooo much fun we didn't leave until 11:30pm. Most of the guests had gone home, but there were a few left over to see us off!

Nobody expects the bride and groom to stay until the end of the reception.U'll hav much more important things to attend to! lol.. just quietly slip out a few hours into the reception when everyone's enjoying themselves. Have fun and congratulations!!!

No, you don't have to stay the whole time. But I wouldn't leave an hour into the reception. Use your judgement.

Stay until you want to. We were one of the last to leave as it was just so much fun. I never wanted my day to end.
You have made a real big effort in arranging "YOUR" wedding day, why should you miss out on a fantastic night.
