Weddings - July 2006

2 different ideas for wedding months: december, or march. i need help brainstorming for wedding colors for each of those months. what are some colors you've seen that were pretty? i could use some feedback. thanks!

So my sister is getting married next month. She's like my best friend too. I'm 18 so i dont have a lot of money since i'm savin up for school. My boyfriend is the best man and he is spending 500$.. i cant afford that so he's making me look bad lol.
Also... I spent 50$ on her bridal shower present, plus 100 for the bridal shower, 40 for her bachelorette present and 20 for the limo for her bach party.. plus I've helped them out a lot by stuffing 500 invitations, going with her to pick out every little detail, etc. I'm not the maid of honor because we also have another sister who is older and she didn't want to hurt her feelings... long story short, she regrets not having me as the m.o.d. but oh well...
How much should I spend and do you have any cute ideas of what to get her? I was planning on making her a scrapbook like a year ago but it all fell through...no gay answers.. just honest ones that will help me.. i dont want them to think I'm cheap but idk what to get!

I'm the father of the bride and as it's my first time to give a public speech ( so to speak ) I'm finding the prospect of having to do this quite daunting and I'm a little nervous about it. Can anyone give me some ideas on how to overcome my nervousness and also if you have any ideas on a speech that is not long, yet appropriate for the occasion.

....so, now I have to choose who is going to walk me down the isle. Both of my grandfathers are dead, or it would be one of them. I have many uncles and I don't want to hurt anyones feelings because I'm really close to them all. Also, I'm considering asking my dads best friend who has been in my life sense I was born and is a lot like him. Or, should I just ask my mother to do it? What would you do in this situation?

I always see shows and stuff where the dad kisses his daughter, etc. I rarely hug my dad. I don't want to hurt his feelings either by not having him walk me down the aisle.

I want the song to be something that people know or have heard before, but I don't want to use a really popular song that could fall into the "Top 10 First Dance Song" category. I have "The Very Thought of You" by Nat King Cole picked out so far.

Any ideas would be helpful. Also, looking for songs to walk down the aisle to that aren't classical and overplayed.

Hi My boyfriend is from Boise Idaho. his in the Navy and we are thinking of getting married in 3 to 4 years. and he wants to get married in idaho. and while he is away, ( deploued ) he wants me to plan the wedding. but the thing is Im from California. and I dont know any places to get married in idaho. and he is just leaving all this planing to me. I'm doing a fall harvest theme with real pumpkins as centerpieces. My wedding is October, Friday the 13th.... :)
I want to know if I purchase the pumpkins the weekend before the wedding will they keep? I want time to clean them up and the pumpkin farms aren't open when I get off work in the evening.

I am looking for some ideas or websites that have centerpiece crafts. I would like to do something with our photos as a centerpiece. I thought maybe some type of wire photo holder with a base that would be done in our colors. (?????) Any ideas on how i would do that or other centerpiece/decoration ideas???
