At first I wasn't really stressed about losing weight...of course my future absolutely adores me either way and I feel the same way...but the closer I get to the wedding..I'm thinkin i wonder if i'd feel more attactive to my husband if i lose a little weight (especially on the big day). Of course it would be something that i would want to continue...but at least for that day. The closer I get the more i want it to be a bigger and better experience. I thought the bridesmaids, but I think it's a matter of single or not single. I have 7 bridesmaids and only 1 is married. The rest are looking forward to our Bridal Bootcamp.

I also think it would be good to making losing weight have a theme and our wedding is the perfect time to encourage people to lose some weight. Weight is indeed something that America struggles with.

I wasn't stressed about losing weight *on* the big day for my wedding or any wedding I've been in. But, I've made efforts to drop a few pounds before weddings.
I think in general, it really depends on the person. A skinny person in great shape isn't going to be worried about dropping weight.

I say the bride because the bride is who everyone will be looking at and paying more attention. Yes in some cases the bridesmaids do feel stressed about losing the weight.

Really who cares if the bridesmaids lost weight? They hate their dresses, their hair won't be right, their shoes will hurt, the color dress is all wrong etc. It's not THEIR day! they are their to serve the bride on HER special day. As for the bride, why would you want to become anything diffrent than the person you are? I can guarantee you will loose weight before the weding. That's why the bride has so many fittings.

I think that they both are. The bride of course wants to be seen as the most beautiful woman on the world on her wedding day. If the bride is a little on the heavy side then they are gonna want to be thiner to impress their new husband. The bridesmaids are going to want to represent the bride. If one of the brides maids is a little heavy they may think they look ugly and tthat they are letting the bride down.

Why would a bride stress to lose weight? Didn't she find a husband that loved her the way she is? A bride has better things to worry about, like planning a wedding!!

The bride! I've been a bridesmaid three times and never stressed like I am now. I'm not really stressing but ... it's in the top ten rather than not in my mind at all like it was when I was a bridesmaid.

The spotlight is on the bride for that day, and so i think the bride feels most of the stress, including loosing weight.

Both must stand up there in front of everyone and so potentially both feel the stress, but between the two, the bride- she's where more of the focus is directed. It also depends on the kind of shape each was in before the wedding.

I would think it'd be the bride - it's her big moment, she's in front of the crowd, cameras on her - it's a moment that'll live on forever, and she'll be looking at pictures of herself in that moment, in that dress, for the rest of her life.
Besides - the bridesmaids usually end up looking horrible anyway - those dresses are obscenely bad, most of the time.
