On christmas day this year, my boyfriend waited until all the gifts were unwrapped, then hands me a box from a real jeweler (from the mother's ring he had given me 2 years ago) inside was an engagement ring

I wasnt sure at first why he would do that, and didnt know how to react. He knows I really dont want to get married again, I was just really confused - he even gave me a look (but didnt say anything) to prompt me to say something.

After careful examination (he still hadnt said anything) I pulled the ring out of the box & saw it was 4 sizes too big for me. Then I realized he could never afford a ring like that (about 1.5 carats total, 5 "diamonds"

My daughter finally blurted out that he had bought it at Wal-Mart for $10. All the time I wasthinking that I didnt want to embarrass him by saying no in front of my kids, thats why I didnt say anything

Has anyone ever heard of someone doing something like this? Im all for a good joke, but I feel weird about this one...

Unfortunately, this is a true story, people!
I'll keep this is as short as possible! :)

Christmas Eve ... I cooked dinner for my BF and kids. He fell asleep on the couch while I was putting kids to bed .... After, he woke up very CRANKY! We wrapped all of the Santa gifts, and he was a jerk the whole time .... in a foul mood and not talking to me. When we finished, he started to watch t.v, so I said: "I'm going to bed now!"

I woke up at midnight to find he had up and LEFT and went home w/o telling me!! :( So, I sent I called his cell (no answer) and sent him 10 text messages that ranged from: "How could you ruin my Christmas this way?" ..... to "Please let me know you at least made it home safely!" (he lives 1 hr. away)

FINALLY - at 5am he sends me this text: "I'm home"

WTF.....? I am sooo MAD! He is now in Fla. visiting family ... and is now sending me text messages ... but I am too angry to respond.

What is the BEST course of action for me to take ??

I recieved i missed call from a random number, while i was at work. So the next day i called twice( from my mums phone) to see who it was, no answer!
The next day i get a text asking whos this? So i text back saying: I should be asking you the same question, i had a missed call the other night, and i said who i was and i asked who are u? So he text back sayin sorry i thought u called me cause i didnt have this number before. So then i text from my phone, sayin yea u did call me from this number, and whats ur name? the person said sorry for bothering me and it was maybe a wrong number, so then i text back well have a happy new year who ever u are, wish u would tell me your name. He text back sayin, i find it best to keep it mysterious have a great year all the best.
Then found out going through my mates phone it was my ex's number, he obviously changed his number, but he rang me, then didnt wanna say who he was. Why did he ring me in the first place? We havent spoke in 5 months.

guy how would you react if a gal friend( 7 months older than you) told you she had feelings for you?

(Feelings she tried to kill for the sake of your guys friend ship but the feelings just won't stop. and she need to tell you or she felt like you guys couldn't be friends anymore.)

we've been seeing each, but i dont think exclusively( on his part), which is fine because i was in the mind state that i didnt want a relationship when we met... and he knew that... but i think because i always said that, he tried to hide some of his feelings... so i dont know if i should just tell him on the phone like its no big deal.... but at the same time i want to see him again, and i know once i tell him i am engaged, he wont want to see me again, not really out of anger, but sorta respect for my relationship.... i want to continue our realtionship, but it wont be fair to anyone.. not even me.... plus i really dont know what he wants me, cause im always saying im tired of relationshiips....

My girl and I had yet another arguement this time over her not comming out to her family. She and I are very different ..i am very open and honest...she is more quiet about her life.... her 13 yr old sister and i are very close and she asked me a couple of questions that i had no problem answering...but when i told my girl about the conversation...she blew up at me!!! She said she only wants to tell her family when she gets serious with someone and knows for sure that the relationship will work.....well its been 6 years next month...how the hell does that make me feel? So...does that mean she's not serious with me...She keeps 'telling' me that I dont understand where she's comming from...but im not 4 yrs old...i get it....i understand her point..but she is so into what she's trying to prove to me that she forgets that i have feelings and opinions too....she trys to convince me that shes right and im worng...all the time....so how do i deal with this? this is really taking a toll on us.

No boy has ever shown that he liked me. I have several friends who are boys, but they are all one year younger than me. I am a tomboy and am quick tempered. Could that be part of it? recently I discovered that a boy I thought liked me, only hung out with me because a guy friend of mine asked him to. We are recently back together after a 12 year split. We were kids back then and when I ask him he says he really doesn't have spots on him that drive him nuts so I need help!! I've tried talking about it with him and it got me no where. Any sugestions? I will not bring in someone else and When it comes to Oral I have no clue really on what to do. This guy I was seeing was with a girl for 2 years. He wanted to marry her, but she wasn't ready. He asked me where I thought our relationship was going. This kind of freaked me out becuase we had only been on a few dates. I said lets just have fun. During the night, he got really drunk and made out with another girl. I left and he left me all these messages saying "I'm sorry. I love you." Obviously, this is still baggage from his ex, right? Anyway, I agreed to meet him and he said that he was really hurt that I didn't see the relationship going anywhere. Time passes and he eventually dumps me because I was so insecure about this ex. Along with emotional games, I freaked out when she falsely claimed they were back together on facebook. He said I have trust issues, which is probably right, but hasn't he given me reason to doubt him?

ok very long story short----

met this bloke a few wks ago-he still had a house with his ex but he worked days and she worked night so they never see each other-he said he sleeps on the settee now and the only thing he loves in that house is his new TV lol.

i REALLY like him-i am a different person when i think of him-caring, romantic etc (i'm usually cold and hard lol). he says he feels the same way as me and he tells me im 'amazing' etc. he has also told his friends and family about me even though he is technically still living with someone.

he said in the new year things will be different and he said he wants us to be together properly (which is what i want) obviously i wouldnt expect him to move out over christmas as that wouldnt be fair. should i wait? i have a feeling he could be a very special person after many failed relationships.

My boyfriend has been depressed lately and last night he said he was staying at his friends house since we live on the other side of town and his car is broke and he has to go into work early and didn't want to bother me. Well at 3:15am his boss left a message asking why he hasn't shown up for work and that he is mad that he has done this a couple times lately. I talked with his boss this morning and he never showed up. So should I confront him about not going to work or wait and give him a chance to come clean?

so me and my bf were having this debate last nite, i say men cheat because of the physical, because they arent getting what they want physically from their gf or they just want more of what they already have, and i say that women cheat because we arent getting something emotionally from a bf (and sometimes physically), he disagrees saying that men cheat because of the same reason women cheat. so my question is: why do you guys and gals think men and women cheat?

I’ve liked girl A since elementary school (we're 18 now). About 2 weeks ago we were talking on the phone bout girl B I currently also liked (I didn't tell girl A I liked her) and I said that I can’t be mean to girl B since I’m teasing her (girl A). Then girl A said "well u can’t like me then since u tease me, right? I didn’t want to tell her so I said "ya, sure". I didn’t really think much bout it until yesterday night when we were talking on msn when I was saying a bunch of stories bout us in elementary and she didn’t remember so she said "well u remember since u liked me right?" I said "no, where did u get that from and then I said "I thought u like me" and told her another story. She then didn’t answer for 5 or 6 minutes and when she did she 'accused' me of liking her again. I just answered "lol" and she responded why I didn’t tell her that b4 and didn’t answer for 10 minutes. I changed the subject and then logged off. Does she know and why does she keep on asking? I want to deny it at least until we're face to face. well we haven’t seen each other in years. 6 years to be exact. In between those 6 years saw her twice (once on the bus, another time when she was walking past my house).got into contact with her last year in August.
