It's not unheared of where I live for a 16-17 year old to date a guy who's 23-24. a good friend of mine is 20 and his girfriend is 16. The parents don't mind that. But it's different when you are 23. My friend is 16. I can't tell you how much we relate. We've spent hours talking about nothing lol. And hours talking about everything. We've known each other for 3 years and it's cool. I've almost convinced myself to talk to her and her mom (spepretly and mom first) about asking her out. But I can't quiet get myself to do it. The only thing that makes me hesitate is the age gap. If her mom told me no I'd back off and never bring it up again. Her mom's a friend I went to college with. She's mature for her age, if a bit of a rebel. For those of you who don't think Im crazy, can you give me good ideas? Maybe some stories of your own if you have been in a similer situation? I dout her mom would call the cops. just don't know how to ask her permission...any ideas? (lenghty if possable)?

Ok so I have liked this guy for a little while, not very long, he used to sit behind me in one of my classes and when he went to the bathroom, my friend next to me leaned over to me and said that she thought he likes me. Since I liked him i got a little excited.

3 weeks pass and I was walking to lunch and saw the girl he was sitting next to was wearing his jacket! (well it looked like his jacket, it still wasn't a girl jacket.

I don't know if they are going out but im freaking out a little bit.
What do you think?

I just started dating this guy...my guy friends found out by reading my text messages, and at first they were really protective, telling me (and him unfortunately) that they'd beat him up if he 'pulled anything'.
After a couple dates, my closest guy friend was being really rude, saying it wasnt actually dating, cause I just met him and we only had a few dates or whatever...and he was getting really mad when I wouldn't tell him 'what he did to me' or whatever.

What's his deal??

Okay, I've been on Yahoo! Answers for a little while now giving the best advice that I can give to others, now I'm in need of some serious help. For the past year I've had to sacrifice alot as far as being a normal 20 year old. My mother was out of work for a year and she found a job, but it's based in Kansas and she works all around the Midwest. When she took the job I had to assume her postion at home i.e. cooking, cleaning, amongst other things. Now for the past 6 months or so I've really been in the worst mood I have ever been in my entire life. I've been having a really hard time expressing to people that I'm just not in the mood for all this holiday stuff. It hit me about a week ago when my little brother asked me if I was excited about Christmas and I said, "NO." After I said that I really felt bad but it's exactly how I feel. I told my friends about how I felt and they said that they're going through the same thing. Am I wrong to be feeling this way?

The thing is, this guy is her batch mate from uni.he doesn't know she is in a relationship. so thinks she is single. my gf doesn't wanna tell either. even last time through sympathy and all he wanted to get her attention and started flirting. my gf denies. but once agreed with me, stopped hangging out with him, cos even while in study groups, he just wastes time and talk stories. so she just says hi bye only. then again after 5months, she let him be in her study group, cos she wants to help him as well, she said, it's true he wants to do well in studies. i'm ok with that. but he again started flirting, as in email her telling how he feels about other women, how he wants to kiss and hold other women. and my gf refuse to share these things with me. she says it's personal to him, and he only told her, so doesn't wanna betray him. but she is in a way betraying me.though she says she only listen and doesn't flirt back. i dont' want her to be a sexual satisfaction to any guy even by mind.

Don't know why, but I think I should put loving and liking a girl away for couple of years so that I can focus on my business and take my life high.What do you think?
Girls would make you busy, wanna hang out with, and have fun.
And many great man in history succeeded with having no lady in their life, such as edison, Wright brother, ....
I mean the same thing would go for girl about having a guy in their life.

i'm defenetly not unconfident, or concieted.
but whenever i'm around basically any guy, cute or ugly,as long as their not a little kid or old guy, i get really awkward and i don't know how to talk to them.
i guess part of it is i havnt had a good guy friend since i was reallyyy little.

I don't date for looks and this guy I like and am trying to convince my mother to let me date is my height but he is chubby and my mom hates it., but, He is the sweetest guy we are not dating and he already has bought me 2 pairs of diamond earings, a diomand neckalace, stuffed animals ,and I give him things to. I am dating this guy and i really like him we have been going out for at lest two weeks..well all the suddon he ignored me for 4 days then we where talking on myspace today and he said he wanted to role play and I said ok cool so we where role playing (witch we do a lot) and in ti he killed me (I ahve no idea why) then he kidnappened me (for some reaosn I came back to life I have no diea why or how) then he held me agaenst my will and for no ******* reason eh started slapping me in role play and cutting my wrist...my friend said if hes doing that online he might do it in rl and its not safe..I really like him and its very odd of him to do that because hes not like that...and I know it was him because I was talking to him on the phone right before he started doing that..and I told him it freaked me out and he said "its jsut role play baby you know I would never do that"...I dont know what to do....can you help me out?? advice plz??

Maybe I do not want to forget things though?
but, I was in a relationship for a year and a month. It was nice; at least so I thought it was. I come to realize I always had troubles and I always felt like I was being attacked or backstabbed in some way or form. She cheated on me a few different times; but I gave her second chances because I had feelings for her and thought she would change. (but as of today I found out she was flirting around with another guy days before we broke up).
I found myself treated like dirt too; and I'm talking to a friend right now and she's telling me about the different times she has listened to me - and it's putting everything into perspective.

I'm happy I am free of the relationship; but from here I am confused and lost on where to go.
I'm wondering is there anything I can do to help this heartache I have?
and is there any true hope of me finding someone else who is kind like me?

Do you feel like this is just "settling for whatever you can get" or is it just the easy way out, not having to face the possibility of rejection?
