but lots of people find it weird that I like being quiet and minding my own business.

I enjoy it and i don't won't to change. Why do people always tell me to " open up more" when i don't need to nor do i want to.

Do people have a problem when others are quite?

maybe because i am 33y/o and its strange that I don't want to be the life and center of attention in this "me" society



Also: GUYS IT'S NOT ABOUT GETTING WOMAN. BEING SHY AND AND ATTRACTING WOMAN ARE 2 TOTALLY DIFFERENT THINGS. PLEASE GROW UP

about 2 years ago i met this guy in oregon and we started to be bf and gf he was my first love/kiss and i found him again on myspace after i had moved. we started talking again and now im really confused. he says he want to get back together but when we discuss it he changes his mind. what should i do? get back together or say good bye and let everything nd on a good note forever

I've had a crush on this girl for 2 years. I had an opportunity to tell her but I didn't so we haven't talked in the last year. 3 days ago, I found her Myspace and left 2 casual friendly messages for her and she didn't respond (I'm positive that it was her myspace & it said that she read the messages). She's going to a different school this year, so this is my only way to contact her. She didn't respond so I figure that she isn't interested so I'm giving up. I'm trying to erase her from my memory but it still haunts me. I've had fantasies of marrying her (yeah, I know, it's my fault that I let her that deep into my heart). She's really pretty and I find it hard to get over her even though I just recently found out that she drinks when she goes to parties and has a lot of other close guy friends (which means that I wouldn't have much of a chance w/ her even if she mailed me back). I feel sad (but not depressed), frustrated, angry & just lousy in general. How do I get over her?

I have been dating this guy for a few months. After school got out we still decided to stay together. During the summer we both went out of the country. We have been emailing each other but in the middle it just stopped. Then on aim he wouldnt im me or anything. Hes just invisible all the time. He came back a few weeks ago and he didnt tell me. I am going to see him in a week when the school orientation starts. What does it mean? and should I say/do anything?

Tonight he wanted sex. and i didnt.. so i told him ok 2 keep him happy. so after i packed his lunch for work tomorrow, i found my pillow on the couch. and put it back in the bed. and he throws it @ me saying rudely that i AM NOT sleeping in the be. he is bascially always angry towards me and rude. today i went out and got me hair cut because he likes short hair. when i got home he says "WOW it makes your face look really fat" me heart sank. and i brushed it off even though it hurt. we have been together 5yrs have a child. and me and my son have NO WHERE to go if i wanted to leave. and YES i have talked to him about the way he acts millions of times, and he still continues to due it. i am sad all the time but walk around with a smile on my face. I dont know where to start someone plz help. and i have no family on my side no parents ect........

My boyfriend and I love each other a lot. Not too long ago, I was going through a time where I doubted my love for him. I tried to convince myself that I loved him, and we were meant to be, but I couldn't do it anymore. I voiced my opinions to him about how I was feeling, and said that maybe we should take a break. He started to get really upset and cry. I couldn't stand to watch him do it, because I cared for him so much. It turns out all I really needed to do was talk about it with him, but I still feel awful that I hurt him. I wouldn't want to hear from him that he is unsure if he still loves me. I feel rotten and awful for what I did. I have apologized and tried to make it up to him, but I feel like I can't. Any suggestions for this?

My ex emailed me out of the blue after 7 years. After about a month of emailing back and forth he finally told me he is married. He also told me that he always wondered what could have been between us and that he still thought of me often after all these years. I stopped contact with him as I knew that it is not appropriate to keep in contact with him being that he is married. Now, after a few months he is instant messaging me again. He just asked me why he hasn't heard from me in awhile. Do you think he really just wants to be friends and that the odd email or IM is harmless or should I tell him to leave me alone? Can ex's really just be friends, even after years apart??

I have never become soo close to anyone... as I did with my ex... I can’t stop thinking about him... I miss him 24/7 but the right thing is to leave him alone... but I find it impossible to give myself the permission to fall out of love with him... the reality is there is no hope for us to get back together...

My ex boyfriend and me broke up around 7 in a half months ago and i have a big problem. I am now with an excellent man who ive been with for the past 7 months, but my ex is still in love with me bad. I get real upset knowing that hes hurting real bad. We had a very bad break up because i had to move away for 6 months, but we still seen each other every once in a while, our fights all started because i had to sneak to see him because my parents didnt like him. We were together over a year and he cries all the time because he misses me, but i do love my new boyfriend and i would never want to hurt him because he loves me alot also. How do i fix my problem? I do have depression problems from my 6 months away with no phone or tv or anything. my ex was a good boyfriend and i was his first, but we started fighting and having problems. A little about me: I'm a guy, well educated, with a dream job lined up after graduating from a top-tier business school, and was even recently voted by all the girls in my class as one of the "hottest" guys in school. But I'm finding it real hard to meet girls. It just seems like whoever I meet that is interesting is already taken or is not interested in me. And if they're interested in me, I'm not interested in them. I want a girl who is genuine, good looking, laid-back, chill and just a lot of fun to be around. But I just can't seem to meet anyone. I go to house parties and seldom see anyone attractive. I keep seeing so many guys who have gorgeous girlfriends, fiancees, wives... and can't help but wonder how they got these girls. I do get a little self conscious around very pretty girls (because I have a slight stutter in my speech). I find it hard to be interesting and "on" ALL the time during the date. I'm starting to feel inadequate and worried for the future. Any tips?

We haven't been together for that long....about 3 weeks or so. And he is my first boyfriend, ever. We've already kissed and made out, but that's about it. At least he didn't try unbuttoning my shirt, and his hands didn't wander into 'inappropriate' places, but I just want to be prepared just in case it came to that point where he wants to make love.
I am 21 years old and raised in a tight-knit Catholic family. I am also the eldest and only girl in the family. I made a promise to my mom and myself that I will not have sex until after I get married to the man I love. I just need sound advice as to how I can tell him. Should I just mention it out of the blue right away, or during a romantic evening, or what? I am lost.
Thank you in advance for you advice. And please, I don't want to hear anything about "test driving a car before buying it".

After 4 months of having a cyber relationship with a woman in the NE, we decided to meet in person. So, I'll be flying North to meet her. She agreed to meet about 3 hours from where she resides. I feel terrible about her having to drive but she says there is more to do in the city we'll meet at. She and I will be staying in the same hotel but different rooms. The question is: Will she be expecting me to pick up the hotel tab for her? What is the right thing to do? Should I offer to pay? Of course, I will incur the airfare, the meals, and transportation while we visit. I plant to visit with her for three days and three nights.

my boyfriend seems to always drink at night. he told me he would go buy long island ice teas at night somtimes..... his neighbor also is always asking him to give him a ride to the liquer store. when i sleep over he has been making trips to the liquer store. one night i asked him not to drink and he kept on saying he was going to go and when i told him whatever do what you do he actually left and got drinks.... now he's a changed person and he's not as sweet as he use to be and he has said things to me i never would expect to come out of his mouth, such as he dosn't know about our relationship and other things that he would never ever say.

I sleeps on both sides o' the bed, you know, an' I like this fellow, an' I think he likes me, an' I want to have a go with him, I do! Now, my gal won't like the idea at all, so I have to keep it all hush-hush, you know, keep me mouth closed an' all---thing is, I'm not sure he goes that way himself, know what I mean?

My friend started going out with a girl a few months back, both are good friends of mine. Recently they just broke up, because the girl's parents didn't like him. The problem is, they never met him before, and barely know him. There are also a lot of misunderstandings, when the girl tried to tell her parents. They both really love each other, but now they are forbidden to see each other. The parents don't even want to see they guy.
