...divorced yet? My wife left 6 months ago suddenly and filed for a divorce. The papers have been filed but the waiting period isn't over for another 2 months. I am emotionally over her but am dating a new woman now who is a bit tenative. I am wondering if this is maybe why she is holding out on her feelings a bit.

was in a long distance r. for 1.5 years. last met up in JAN, were great. We were planning to meet again in Easter. But finally broke up in FEB coz he is tired of handling LDR n he has lost feelings to maintain it. (NOT coz of another girl)

he's 24, and me 23. he has just started working for 8months. So it's really not a time to talk about compromise n stuff. I wanted to move there but he doesnt want me 2 sacrifice. Also, he's very independent and kind of compromise-phobia. Anyway we broke up.

i just wonder if he is so rational (give up a relationship coz he knows that it's hard)... or just because he doesn't love me enough to make an effort and to solve our problems.

Is distance really so difficult for a compromise-phobic-man that he chooses to break up even he knows im important?

or Would a compromise-phobic-man like him try his best to maintain the relationship IF he really cherish me?

is distance or the lack of love the cause?! can love really overcome everything!?

I am not sure if this is healthy for me. To be so involved with her parens. She is a very big mommys girl. To make things worse one night when I was drunk I told her I love you, even though she told me first I love you this much showing with her fingers. Any advice on what this situation is and is this healthy.

A friend of mine, is in love with her B/F for three years. she's 24 now. and there was many people proposed to her throughout these years. the situation is that there is someone recently proposed to her and this is the deal:
He's 35 years old, great position, good future, handsome, rich and have his own house and car, broke up with his ex-girlfriend coz she doesn't want kids and he want it so bad, so open-minded and high-educated and from a well-knowen familly. all his neighbors says good things about him.
her current B/F:
He's 25, not settled at work, still stuying and doesn't even know what major to choose yet! planing to move out of his area but doesn't know yet to where. live in rent apartment with a retailed car. doesn't want kids, not close to his family but he loves her.
the problem is she truely loves him although everybody tried to advise her not to waste her time with him and if she rejected all this good aportunities now, she'll regrate it later when she get older?

O.k...here's the dilema. so bf and i have been dating, roughly for over a year, physical for 4 mths, no sex yet. we have taken two breaks. so, length of relationship depends on who you ask.
there is an age gap, 8 years. he's the young one. our relationship is unique in that we bridge the age gap, really enjoy each other, and have lots of fun.
we have been talking more about having sex. he even said"it would bring us closer together". bad guy line? he also hasn't said, i love you. i know he cares alot by what he does. our relationship has moved at a snails pace. both very caustious people.
part of me wants to have sex with him. I am prepared but I am a virgin and didn't wait this long to sleep with the wrong guy. I am not waiting for marriage just the right relationship. i am scared. I doubt we will get married b/c he is chronogically young. so i am not sure if i want to have a sexual relationship with someone and we will depart in a 1/2 yrs.
thoughts? things i should think about?

I'm 20 and my girlfriend is 19. We will have been together 4 years in August. I love her with all my being and more and she equally loves me back. We have been through rough times but we always stayed strong and helped each other through the fire. She's everything to me. I have more faith in her than over half my family members. I was wondering can a relationship like this still be here years from now?

Would it be normal to touch base just to say hi or is that a bad idea?

My ex ended our relations 2 1/2 months ago as she said her feelings on me changed over a short period. Throughout our relationship of 9 mths, and only 3 or 4 weeks before that, we were in love. She used to say to me she loved me, wanted to live with me etc

Things changed very quickly. She became cold with me and ended things. For a mth after I tried to persuade her to give us another chance but she said I was better off without her, and she knew I would find someone who "would be as lucky to have met me as she was". Weird comments!

I have left her alone to give her space. I realised all my trying to persuade her was not working and pushing her away more.

I want to try and get her to see why she fell for me, and me her, in the first place. I am gonna call her in a couple of wks to suggest a meet up, no strings, and just be myself. If we are still attracted to each other we will know it, if not, then at least I tried.

Tips to do it without being pushy? Ladies thoughts??

Like when he is supposed to come over he is late or hell call me at the last minuet and tell me he is on his way oe that he is not comming. I know he's not cheating on me but, its just stressing me out. He never wants to do anything ne more but stay home and watch movies all the time, and usally it always what he wants to do when we do do something. I dont wanna break up with him and I am tired of talking about with him because then it usally ends up in a fight..what should I do?

How do you know when you are ready to take things further physically in a relationship? My bf and I have known each other for about 1 1/2 years. We both want to take our relationship further physically. Will becoming intimate change our relationship for the better? Is it normal to feel nervous in taking this step?

i have been seeing this girl, going out on dates with her for the past month, everything has been going great. last week we kissed and stuff and the rest of the night went well. then she started avoiding me though the day after and a few days later she left me a message saying she wants to date me, but does not want a relationship with anyone.

i just dont understand what the point of dating soemone is if it is not working up to a relationship. should i tell her how i feel about this and let her know im not interested in just dating with nothing else then a date in the future.

she just got out of a long term relationship a few weeks before we met, i honestly dont know if i should start talking to her less or if i should tell her that i am not itnerested in merely dating her for the sake of "having fun" with no chance of a relationship.

I am probably asking out of insecurities but you men are just so hard to read. I've been dating this guy for 10 months and he is wonderful. We moved in together in January and that seems to be going well, I have a daughter (not his) that he takes very good care of and says he loves her like she was his own. He has talked briefly about our future together and tells me often that he loves me but no real details and when I ask him about his plans or his feelings he really has nothing to say, yet whenever I talk to his friends they always bring up how he talks about me all the time and has nothing but good things to say about us. He is very romantic when we are together yet when we are apart he "forgets" to call often. I am at a crossroads, how into this relationship is he?

I have been with my bf for almost 2 yrs now but I don´t want to be with him anymore!
Now the problem is that he doesn´t want to break up and calls every hour to talk and if I don´t answer he´ll wait outside my job and follow me home! Last night he even came to check up on me when I was training because I train with both girls and boys so he had to know what I was doing. I got so mad and we got into really big argument that ended with him kicking the door of my car so now I have to get it repaired! I´m 23 and he´s 30. We constantly fight because he want´s to start having children but I want to finish my study and get my dream job!
When he gets angry he uses the most awfull words to describe me and I feel as he enjoyes hurting me. I once slapped him for saying the most awful thing and then he locked the door in his car, started driving really fast and said that he was going to kill me. when we had been driving for 30min he looked at me and was surprised that I belived him and got angry!

There is this guy who really loves me.I am real close to him and am very fond of him as well. The problem is that I am scared of what will happen if I get into a trelationship with him.
Let me explain our family backgrounds to you.
My parents had a love marriage and are very broad minded and democratic. They have allowed my brothers and me to choose lifepartners of our own choice. They have even unconditionally accepted my elder bro's girlfriend who is now just like a part of the family.
The guy I like has a different story altogether. His parents separated when he was 11 years old.His father was very abusive and used to beat up the mother.
I have heard that children who have grown up seeing abuse taking place in their family will turn abusive later. This is why I am scared.
He loves me a lot and I love him too.Only,I haven't yet told him that since I am hesitant to commit. His mother knows me and likes me.My parents like this guy too. What do I do?I am confused.Am I being silly?
