My ex and I have been apart for a month, we dated for a year. he's 30 and I'm 25... We both mutually decided that we still want to have each other in our lives, I still love him and he says he thinks he still loves me , but just doesn't want a girlfreind righ tnow b/c he would just end up sabotaging it (lots of issues in his life right now). He said he wants to be friends and be able to do things friends would do and talk live civilized adults. This is great, but I stilll have feelings for him and he knows that. Is it possible to become friends (which I know takes time) with an ex with the hope that somewhere down the line in the future it could be more? I feel like he's "sewing his wild oates" before he "settles down". We had a wonderful relationship, I just don't think he's ready to commit (he's afraid of it b/c of his ex breaking his heart)... Is it possible to be friends and turn it into more, and if so, how? We are great as a couple, he's just not ready...

I'm graduating next month and look where i am! i'm home because of my boyfriend! i didn't go to school and i hate not going to school but when my boyfriend puts me down i cant do anything! he has such an advantage of me and all i want to do is love him. he is not working with me and i just feel like sitting him down but every time we do that it works for a lil while then back to normal and it's not my fault!! i should be in school but i want everything to go good between me and him first! i wont let him go! because i know we are meant for each other..i'm trying to get in contact with me but he's not picking up! i feel like hurting myself!! i need his love now. and it's getting smaller and smaller every time we argue but it's his fault!!! i might not even go to school tomorrow =( . he is out right now but i don't know where, my head is spinning and i am emotionally drained right now. i need a really helpful friend right now. i need to smile and laugh. when im home im just stuck!

Basically me and my ex have been broken up for7 months.. I still really love him he is the only one that I have ever loved.. He still lokks at me like he does love me still but he has a girl friend. I have been spending time with a really nice guy. We have a lot in common and have a really good time doing nothing. We haven't talked about being boyfriend and girlfriend, because we are both coming out of long relationships and we trying to move slow. He says and does sweet things, like sending cute texts and emails. Am currently seeing this girl online...we chat very often.
We both like each other.
She asked me one day,if i ever got cheated on?
I told her i've been cheated on, from my previous girlfriend due to not having sex with her.
And i was made fun of and we ended up in a argument.
I asked her many times, why she was laughing??....
never recieved a proper response, just pretty much bullshit answer!!!
Is she laughing at me cause, my ex left me for that particular reason or cause she thinks im a virgin??

my parents hate my boyfriend. the only thing my mom has gotten to know about my boyfriend is things from his myspace. she doesnt like the fact that im white and he's black. my mother has always had slightly racist qualities, but i didnt realize that it went this deep. she constantly tells me that she doesnt trust me, and that she wont condone us dating. she even said that i couldnt go on a trip with our church this summer because he was going. she's being really controlling, and never lets me see him. she's rude to him, and it hurts both of us. i really care about him, and dont like her being this way towards him. my father hasnt even met him and already doesnt like him because of my mom. he has formed his opinions of justin completely on what my mom says. what should i do and what do you all think ?

being in love? I mean I've been talking to this guy for a while, and we started talking as friends. It has developed into more. We've been intimate, and he hadn't said I love you before. From the beginning he talked about how he is really into me, and how he wanted me to be his Queen. More and more he says I'm falling in love with you. We've been talking for about 3 mos, and he told my friend today that he loves me (he works with my bestfriend). I don't think I can really trust him because she says he has been with a lot of girls at her job. She says he's a hoe. I told him what I heard, but he says that if he was playing me, I would've noticed by now. I must admit that he has treated me well, and I don't really have a big reason not to trust him, but I don't want to invest too much of my feelings into him if he is just trying to play me. He isn't even my boyfriend, so I'm skeptical about if his feelings are true. What do you guys think?

He talks to her like **** basically and theyre forever arguing, we've met about 4-5 times and all ive got out of him is' alright' and 'see ya' The other night we went out clubbing (me and my sister) and he was on the phone ' you better not b in hotpants' its up 2 her what she wants to wear, i certainly wouldnt let a man tell me what to wear. but she doesnt see things from my point of view, i dont want to see her getting hurt, she was in a relationship b4 with someone just the same and he turned out abusive and i also hated him from the start, so she stopped dating for a few years now shes met her new fella she thinks the sun shines out his **** and wants the full works with him, she wants kids and marriage and stuff, how can i make her see sense??

I had a new guy I met in December. First he was completely into me, calling and texting often. We got along well, finally in the beginning of March I agreed to go out with him 'officially'. A week or two later, it was like a lightswitch. Instead of him being extremely engaged and intestered, he became distant. It started a few days before he had to go out of state for 5 days for a funeral, (and this distant thing started a little before he found out a distant uncle had passed). I sent him one message while he was gone and didn't hear back - I chalked it up to being with family. I haven't seen him since he came back, we've texted a few times - and all I've heard for the last two weeks is that he's really stressed and has a lot on his mind. I message him about once every 2-3 days, I'm doing my best not not be 'overbearing' but I also don't want to act completely disinterested. I'm at the breaking point now, I didn't hear back when I asked if he wanted to get together.

I was dating this girl before I joined the Air Force for a year. We were mad in love. She was 17 and I was 20. After I left for the Air Force we grew apart and I got married. During my marriage all I could do is think about the girl before the Air Force. It lead to my divorce 3 years later. The girl found me on myspace a few months after my divorce. We both had been thinking of each other the whole time we were apart. I am back home now. We have been seeing each other for about 4 months. Things for the most part are great. I asked her to commit to me, to be my girlfriend, or fianc'e. She says she does want to marry me... eventually, but right now the time isnt right. She says she loves me but needs to work out personal stuff first. I dont know what those issues are and she doesnt explain them to me. What could those possible issues be and why would the time not be right?
