A year ago I was a skinny guy (maybe a little two skinny) who would have women tell me "you should start going to the gym." I started working out REALLY hard and now women tell me that I overdo it. How muscular does a guy's body have to be in order to be considered sexy?

I love muscles on a guy. But I also like it if a man can be gentle as well as strong and protective. Try this. And dont show off your muscles too much because we hate that! Hope I helped and God Luck!

Hot Women With Muscles

I'm not really into muscles, and in my opinion guys can over do it. It is attractive for a man to be mildly toned and have a little strength. tight bottom, flat stomach etc. But it's not even that important. Big Beef cake is not a sexy look. To be honest for me a guy that is funny and intelligent are the biggest turn ons. and a nice cheeky smile maybe :) Don't stress about your pysical appearance so much. You should be concentrating more on having fun then pumping in the gym.

Yes, I think muscles on a woman are very sexy. I actually like female bodybuilders in their offseason look, when they are not as hard and ripped but more thick and smooth, that maximizes the curvy affect. You raise a good point in your question and probably one of the big reasons women don't work out more in weight conditioning, for the fear that any serious training will make them bulk up too much and bring that dreaded, "You look too manly" phrase to their appearance. I don't believe cardio alone will make for a truly fit body. That is an unfortunate fear, simply because it's not true and most women just don't have that capacity to super bulk anyways. Toned and muscular is healthy and will also help burn body fat, (you don't have to worry about your thighs thundering) plus it helps prevent injury.

Yes, muscles are sexy, but not some steriod freak of a body builder muscles or some guy who just spends all his time in the gym and talks about how much creatine he had today, boring! My partner works out. I think his muscles are sexy as hell. Yes, women like personality too, but we also like our lovers to look good. If you over do it, you probably define yourself with it. That's not sexy. You need depth.

My husband, just like I did, went through many fazes. Skinny, lean, built, fat, built, fat, (no that's not a mistake) and now we're just healthy.

It really is a personal preference. You need to be happy with what you see in the mirror. What women are attracted to is confidence. I bet you that if you told any one of the chicks who told you to go to the gym, to flip off - you're happy the way you are - they would have been drooling over you.

It's like when a guy tells a girl that she's chunky when she's 5'2 and weighs 135 lbs... PLEASE!!!

Anyway, I digress... Personally, I like skinny guys - always have - but I love my husband no matter what size he is. (SO DOES HE!!! and that's what I love about him! at least one of the many things I love about him!) (BTW - we started dating when I was 16 and are still together 16 years later.)

Someone that is TOO buffed up...usually end up thinking of only themselves..always looking in the mirror, always flexing muscles...it ends up going to their head and they usually become obsessed by their body..

Having a "fit and healthy" body to show that you take care of yourself is "sexy"...but it's all up to you, how YOU feel bout your body*

I just think...keeping yourself fit, exercising, eating right is the way to go....but going to a gym working out vigorously and hard every day...is overdoing it and then it becomes "not so sexy"...it becomes an obsession.

Keep on Smilin*~

a guy that is too muscular, is a turn-off for me. also those guys tend to be obsessed with working out 24/7 and obsessed with their looks, also a big turn-off. some muscles are good. try to strike a good balance between having some but not looking like you could bench a truck.

Overdone is the wrong path. What your are born with is the best start, but use your strengths(not exercise wise). Have fun exercising and it will look sooo natural.
In my opinion, which may be worth nothing, but here goes..... Get out and get active, hiking, biking, bowling, swimming, playing frisbee, ping pong, gardening, anything you like that moves your body. Body slamming in a dance place. whatever!! Have a good time doing it and you and your body will look stupendous.

some women like huge muscle but most just prefer a tone body with a nice flat stomach when you reach like The Rock you know it's time to stop but yet still the Rock is FINE.
