Singles & Dating - 10 April 2007

OK, I live with this guy, he is European (Polish). We live together because techincally we have to (long story) we are really close friends and about 3 weeks ago I started to have feelings for him. He was invited to a wedding which is this Saturday. He hasnt said anything about it (he told me when he went to the bachelor party) and if he is going to go I would love to go with him. I feel kinda awkward about asking him because I have been on an emotional rollercoaster the past few weeks. Should he invited me? Should I ask about it? I would have to get off of work so I would need to know now..and if he doesnt ask me, does that me he doesn't want to be seen with me, even though all his friends know about me? I am lost her...help!

U are dating a very handsome man & he seems to really be into u? I am very confident & I know that I am beautiful. I am dating this man who likes me for the person I am & most of all my personality. All the reasons that he has told me he likes me are the same reasons I like him. It’s just he is so handsome to a point where he is a “head turner” to women as we walk down the street & I am use to those type of guys being arrogant or coincident & he is not. It almost seems like he is unaware of how good he looks.

I have a friend who said she was dating a guy who said he was so tired of women treating him like he was a piece of meat, and it made him only want to date women who were attractive and confident enough in themselves so that how he looked would never be an issue. He told her he felt like women who were all over him were insecure & wanted somebody good looking on there arm to boost their on confidence. I was wondering do u think that this guy may have that same take on it?

So now almost single status myself and my divorce almost final. ( have been seperated for a year) I am dating a man who as well has been seperated for a long time too ( about a year as well). He and his ex have talked about getting the ball rolling for offical divorce yet are not very active in doing so due to finaces. My question is even though it is over with in you heart and eyes and only a paper issue would it bother you as a woman to be single dating a man who says he will eventually get around to it when the funds are availbe? And for you men is it ok with you if you were in this possition knowing your girlfriend was bothered by it and he knows you are? They will not ever get back together neither will my ex and I but we both have good relationships due to children involved. Am I wrong to think of this as odd? I dont want to get married again for a while and my BF and I have discussed the issue yet I would like to know we are by law "single" if that makes sense. Your advice ty.

Ok. It's not the she doesn't like me, she's just very protective of her son. He's 27 and went through a very nasty divorce and custody battle 2 years ago that was very emotional for his whole family, especially his mom. After that his "rebound" girl I guess you could say, was this stripper that claimed to be pregnant with his kid. After raising the child for 6 months he found out she wasn't his and the girl left the state with her, which also broke his mom's heart because she was really attached to the little girl. I care about him a lot and he doesn't seem to care what his mom thinks but I do! I don't want her to think I'm like the other ones because I'm far from it. She's always nice to me and she hasn't told him that she doesn't like me, she just tells him he needs to be more careful and more picky. The other two lived off of him completely. I'm 24, have a good steady job that pays well, my own place and pay my own bills and provide for my kids. How can I change her mind about me?!

i saw this guy i like about a month ago and i asked him "I thought you quit smoking?" and he was like "I did, but I haven't seen you in awhile so I started again." was this a part of his game or could he have meant it? we had just got done having sex in the backseat of his car behind Home Depot, and after that he took me home. He asked me if i wanted to get a hotel later on and spend the night together, and I told him yes and he said he'd call me an hour later and he never did! i tried to call him and asked him if he still wanted to go, and he said "yeah, but let me call you right back." and he never did! why did he propose a hotel room with me, if he wasn't planning on getting one?

i went to my boyfriends house when he was at work and i left him this trail of surprises... but than i found a porn collection in his room. I also found out that he was lying to me about not smoking anymore for months. Now i kept telling myself, "all guys look at porn, its normal." but it still bothers me to think of him doing it. I'm too embarrassed to say anything, but i dont want it to do anything to our relationship. i mean i know he loves me and hes horny at his age..20. Y do women offer sex when what they really want is love? Oook so, I've been dating a guy for one year and two months *long distance*, at first it was wonderful, talked on the phone daily for hours and hours.. then a few things changed. I started getting hurt easy, I was expecting way too much, so I cheated on him. By cheating I mean kissed someone else. I regreted it, but I blamed it on him.. It wasnt HIS FAULT. Anyway, after that it just went down hill, he told me to give him time, after a few months he turned into the old him, but I've changed... I just feel like I dont love him... But I dont know how I can live my life without him, he's everything I know. I admit I want someone here, who can handle me 24/7.. but it hurts me so bad if I see him hurt.. I just cant handle it.. I really dont know what I want... him.. or something else.. not necesarely another guy. This last week I've been hanging out alot with friends, and he bitches at me saying I ignore him. I've been fighting with my 4 year bf for these issues. I get mad because he says stuff like he would like to be with other girls, like have girl friends and go out with them, and flirt, and other things. And he's always making remarks about him wanting others. It annoys the hell out of me, because, well, i'm his girlfriend, he's supposed to want to be with me. When i tell him this, he says like i'm trying to change him, and be his owner. I don't tell him what to do on anything, i just want him to respect his relationship with me, and not say hurtful things if he wants to be with me. Am i supposed to just let him go on and on about wanting to have sex and flirt with other girls and not let it bother me until he actually does something?
We have an agreement of exclusivity, but he talks about it as if it was too much work.

I recently found out that my best friends boyfriend is thinking about breaking up with her. He would wait till after Prom so there is a few weeks before anything would happen. But I am really stuck because I swore that I wouldn't tell her (this was before I knew what I wasn't telling her) but the reason that he is going to break up with her is because she is too clingy, and she really is I know that I wouldn't be able to date her. I met him when I was 23 and he was 30 and just going through a very bad divorce. We have been living together for 5 of the 6 years and at first I got along well with his 2 children. Now his daughter and I do not get along at all, whatsoever, and I cannot see this changing anytime soon. This has been my only relationship. Before this I had never had a boyfriend and have always thought low of myself. I have been just co-existing in this house but my boyfriend and I have drifted apart and I can honestly say I'm content with the situation but not happy. I recently met a guy at work who I really enjoy spending time with, who is single and closer to my age, and who has shown some interest in me and who I really enjoy talking to and being with. This has opened my eyes to how I really feel being in my current relationship. I'm not sure if I should try to stick it out and make it better or if I should just leave and try to move on.
