Singles & Dating - 2 April 2007

I live with a woman who was married over 30 years, and her husband left her and 3 daughters declaring he was gay. It has been a roller coaster ride. She has problems showing appreciation when I do something for her. I really love her and I guess I need to know if maybe I am putting too much importance on a thank you when I do something nice. It kind of hurts my feelings when I shop, and prepare a fine meal, and dont even get a thank you. Please tell me what I need to hear.

me and him have been friends since the beginning of the year 2006. and i have liked him ever since...but what really hurt me was that he asked out my very best friend and she said yes. and now that they have been broken up for a while...i have been letting him now how i feel. and i have even came out and told him once. but he keeps flirting with me and even tho he had no reaction when i told him how i feel...i still love him and i just wish that he would give me a chance. how do i get him to do that? and how do i truely show him that i want him to give me a CHANCE like no other man has....they judge me from what they hear...not from what they know...and he is the only one who does NOT do that.

Ok, my friend is having a problem. shes a smart, athletic, and good looking 19 yr old. she hasnt had a bf for quite a while and she blames it on the fact that shes really quiet. i try to explain to her that she just looks uninterested in guys so they leave her alone but she continually puts herself down and says shes never going to find the right guy. so guys, is being shy really a turn off or does it just make that person difficult to approach? and what advice could i give her to help her be more open to ppl and get a bf?

I'm in a long term relationship, and have a son. I have been having sexual feeings and thoughts about other woman. I don't know if I would ever act on them but have thought about it. everytime I like a guy, he never likes me back. I think I am a fairly attractive, fairly intelligent person, so what's the problem? And when I DO like the guy, he only calls me for sex. i had my first relationship not long ago. it lasted the whole month of february. it was a huge deal for me because I have major major trust issues. and my ex boyfriend made it clear that I could trust him. we hung out every day and I didn't want to admit that I was falling in love with him but when he told me that he loved me... I just completely let all of my guards down. I was in love with him. and i told him that. it wasn't till the end of february when he suddenly stopped talking to me... whenever he would see me in the halls at school he would avoid me... he wouldnt answer my calls... and then i saw him kissing another girl... and I felt a pain that I had never ever felt before in my life. it's been over a month since we stopped seeing each other and every single day I cry over him... i feel pathetic but i dont know how to get over him

My son just turned 19, he recently disclosed his newest girlfriend to us. One problem, she is 19. Her daddy is a cop and has VERY old fashioned values regarding his daughter. I expressed concern in the event their might be a sexual relationship since my son has been very sexual with his past girlfreinds. Anyhow, my son who is a GREAT actor, for real as he is in drama, told me her family REALLY likes him. They just love him he states. Sure, the "actor" version. My son is a biut perverted like I suppose all 19 year old males are. I don't feel good about this as I know what her dad will do, WHEN, not if they have sex.

What are my options here?

Should I kick my son out of the house?

Should I stay out of it and just issue a warning?

Any advise on this is appreciated.

even though you don't know them

the first time i walked past where he was hanging out with his friend, i saw that his friend was smiling at me?! even though i have never talked to him before.

also, i was with my friends walking, and the guy i like was with his friends... the guy i like saw me coming his way and was suddenly jumped on by one of his guy friends.. when i walked past them the guy i like said my name in a way that was really happy, like he was really happy to see me. i said hi back to him but he was busy with his friends so i couldn't talk to him

the guy i like knows i like him, but only one of his close friends knows that... i don't think the friends that he was with knew that i like him (i'm not sure though)

does he like me?

I asked one of my friend/crush of about 4 years to prom, we had a great time, we hung out at my house afterwords, watched a movie- the Breakfast Club, had my first kiss with him half way through the movie, the movie ended i actually fell asleep in his arms, and he napped and brushed his fingers up and down my arm,back, and stomach.
