Im the one doing the calling and chasing, I want to be the one being chased. Is it wrong to switch after I have been this way after a year?

STOP! Yes you can switch, she has gotten set in the mold you place the relationship. So here is what I suggest. Stop calling so often, get mysteriously busy with work or occupy yourself with some hobby, the gym maybe.
She'll ask what's up and all you have to simply say is, "sorry love, but it has gotten somewhat busy and I can't really call as much as I'd like, but you can call me and I'll make the time for you - surprise me baby" What woman won't want to surprise her man?
As a woman, she'd want to know what's up all of a sudden, just let her know that you really do love her and always will and leave it at that.
