i belong to a local football club and there is an xmas party which i don't really want to go to but my mum is really angry because i dont want to go, why is she angry and is it that bad that i dont want to go?
i dont see the problem with it

We do a gift exchange, but you do not know who you are buying the gift for. I work with mostly women who are middle-aged (over 30). There are a couple of men who work here and they are middle-aged as well. There are only two people who are under 30 (1 guy, 1 girl). I have only been working for the company for 6 months, so I am still trying to get to know my co-workers. I have no idea what is an appropriate gift for a co-worker since this is my first "real" job.

We live in Rancho Cordova, Ca. It is a suburb of Sacramento. My neice (she will be 13 on Friday) hangs with several friends. She and her 14 year old friend have been observed smoking cigarettes. She talks about she and her friends taking the bus and light rail several miles away from home. They are seen walking over a mile away from her house, and she tells me that some of her companions are 17 and 21. I'm wodering why 17 and 21 year olds are hanging around with 12 and 14 year olds. She has told me that although she isn't, some of her friends are in gangs. I am concerned. Her mother thinks this is all okay, and doesn't really want to deal with it. Should I not be concerned?

i really ahve no idea what to get him..he doesnt have any big hobies and he is really not in need of anything. he doesnt like xbox and he has already 2 watch. money range doesnt really matter as long as it is not too expensive. and also i cant get him anything materialistic because he has everything he wants and needs! what should i do?

Hi everyone,
I have been offered a decent job in Singapore and until today i was very keen. Suddenly today i have become very frightened, I have a 12 year old son and I am scared it may not be good for him I do not want to ruin his life. What should I do?

I have a house inthe UK I am going to rent out and if the worst happnes we can always come back but as I am about to go in one weeks time I am really nervous.

I'm 16, for a couple of years I haven't had much of a social life. Before that I saw plenty of my friends outside school. Then me and my best friend stopped talking to each other, and I still miss him. Since then I've usually not seen any friends at weekends or after school. I occasionally do, but it's the same couple of people. I have friends at school, but I never see them outside. I know the solution sounds simple - 'Just invite them!' but I can't bring myself to do it, and no one really invites me to do anything.
Any ideas?

I have a 2 year boy and a 14 month old daughter i love my kids but it ain't easy with the both of them it already hard becuase i was married for 3 years with my children father and he wasn't no support from the start i did everything as far as taking care of kids because to liked to hang the streets play his game all the time and also do more for his mother and brother and sister's then he did for me and the kids he left me and i taking care of my kids it not easy because my son he is bad as hell he don't like to listen he get's about 20 spanking a day from being hardheaded and he talk's back and always into stuff and my daughter she always having fitt's and this is not just a crying baby she screams and be yelling and tell me to stop or sit down and no i'm not saying that i am letting my kids run over me but i don't want to beat them but i want them to understand and listern i tryed time-out and taking there toys away and also ingoring them but that don't work what she i do for them

i know a friend called nessa we been friends for a year now or maybe more, she is always in a good mood always happy and im kinda not,, so i took a look at things she has and i dont,,
she has THE LOOK, shes kinda rich her dad is a business man shes doing business too shes in a good college, she has a wonderful personallity, has good friends she goes to different countries every year, plus she a cool part-time job she works in a company pays her better than avrage students
however i dont got the look,i think my dad is rich im doing finance kinda same as her major if i ask for a part-time job i wont get as cool as hers,i dont have a good personallity i got an attitude problem lol im obsessed with travling but i cant afford it
she asked me to go with her to a trip thats when i realize that im broke!! i know its gonna be always this way she will always be happier than i am she will always be richer than i am because she has more opportunities than i do!! am i right or wrong ?

Well where can I start I was with my ex boyfriend for almost two years. We broke up and he went overseas due him being in the military and I live here in the states. We have remained friends best friends since our break up witch was over a year ago. I have a problem. I've been with Kay for about 3 years and known each other for 4 and a half. Last year august. anyway we were still talking and we were doing the friend thing. at that time we were both seeing other people. i told him i loved him and wanted him back and he told me that he would never get back with me. all in all i just said it was a dead issue. I started talking to greg seriously and then kerron then decided that he wanted me. i told him no and now here i am. I've been with greg for about 7/8 months. he wants to get married and the thing is besides the fact that its too early to get married, i can't get over kerron. I've tried to forget him but i always think about him and what he's doing and i don't know if he feels the same but i just feel like i'm under water. There maybe is no chance for me and kay again considering that his peeps hate me and my faily don't really like him (that would be the reason). But what do i do in the mean time? I dont even speak to him.
