Somebody came up to me Tuesday at school and said that my BFF did not want to be my friend anymore because I ignored her too much. I do not think that is true she's just not in any of my classes so I dont see her much. Now, it is Thursday and I don't know if I should call her and if I do, I don't know what to say? HELP! P.S I do know that she really said that because my friend,Libby asked her and she said that she really said that.

It seems, trust is something I've lost in people. Though I know not everyone is lieing to me, I still don't trust a thing anyone says to me. I don't want that to become a problem again.

I have recently ended a 4 year relationship that just wasnt working. My boyfriend put me through hell with drinking problems for the first 2.5 years after which he started to get his act together and stopped partying so much and lost a lot of weight etc. But despite us both trying to make things work it just wasnt working, from my end anyway, I wasnt happy. So I ended it. But now he is completely shattered and broken hearted and is saying he has no purpose left anymore and that he will never stop hurting and that he is afraid of what he'll do when he goes back to living alone next week (he is currently staying at his parents). He is taking full responsibility for things not working (he was a bit of a selfish bastard and took most things for granted) despite my telling him that it is 50/50, but he wont stop beating himself up. I am afraid of him doing something stupid. What can I do to help him without hindering my ability to move on. I love him but I know I've done the right thing.

Im in new zealand for 6 months in my partners house at the moment with my partner and 3 yr old girl. My partner is 43 and im 21, although my partner is not my daughters father he fully accepts that my only responsibility is to my child and her future, therefore he encourages me to take her to every mums and tots event there is in the morning while he cleans and prepares lunch so that we can spend time together in the afternoon. Its not that hes desperate, his kids r grown up and he has had such a sucessful career in the fire service he has now retired and runs several businesses, so why cant more men, and indeed after reading a few answers on this, women adapt to the times and stop being so pig headed? a mothers duty is surely to provide a happy childhood, is that keeping them in the house while you cook and clean for their arrogant fathers? Surely not!

Well, I am just wondering what I am supposed to do in this situation.

-My teacher is a little too comfortable on sexuality, he compliments a few of the girls in the class, like, in the middle of I test he all of a sudden said to me, "Lookin good Maddi." And, I was terribly embarrased and didn't know how to react, he had done the same thing to other girls too.

-He once said that we had to do an assignment that involved watching the TV, then he said to one of my friends Cody, "That doesn't mean you can watch the playboy channel Cody."

-Then, when we were studying the reproduction of cells, I said sexual reproduction, or binary fission, and he said "Yeah, you like that."

I have no idea what to do, because he keeps victimizing people and saying compliments that are actrually insulting people.

Help!

I prefer older men, not for their money or anything like that (I'm could care less about it, I'm not materialistic) but because I'm looking for someone with more maturity and wisdom. I'm more mature and serious than all the guys in my age group, they bore me, so I would rather spend my time with someone I can actually have a meaningful conversation with, someone who can teach me a thing or two about life. Anyhow, my question is: why is society these days so against that when 100 years ago it was exactly the opposite?

My younger brother (age 16) brought home some Puerto Rican/Mexican Indian (Asian?) girl and told me that they were dating. My family is German-American (blond hair and blue eyed) and my family and I don't want latino/indian/black/asian in our family tree. It was an embarassment to see them together. I dont want her seeing my brother. I love my brother very much and only want the best for him - I dont think a mixed race latino/indian/asian would be that.

I'm a college student at Stanford so I know the whole "dont be a racist" bit. If you personally don't have a race (I say genetic) bias like I do then fine. But, it took thousands or years of evolution to get the features my family does (blond hair) and takes one generation to screw it up.

Either way, I will eventually break them up.

How can I break them up faster? Should I just talk to that latino indian girl in private and tell her to stop seeing my brother? Or should I just tell my brother why dating her is a bad choice?

I just started going to church with my grandma on Sundays two weeks ago. The first week I went, I was sitting in the pew and looked over and saw my english teacher. I about died. She is not one of my favorite teachers but shes not evil or anything. I hoped she wouldn't see me but after church she came over and talked to me. She said "You lucky girl! You get to see me six days this week!" Then she gave me a hug. I was thinking O yeah, lucky me! And what with the hugs? She doesn't do that at school! Anyway the second week I pretended like I didn't see her and did't tallk to her. The last thing I want to do is see my teacher on the weekend. I know I am going to have to get used to her being there but how should I act. Should I pretend I don't see her every week or do I go and tell her hi. I don't want to be rude but I don't really want to just go up and give her a hug every week. What do I do? This is REALLY awkward.

Hello,

My name is Lisa and i am a student at New York University.

I am majoring in Psychology and i am conducting a study on what the "perfect" young female would be these days (teenage)

I liked the idea of posting the photos on here, because it is simple and i won't be get responses from just young guys.

I have three photos used with permission, All you need to do it "point out" the imperfections you see in these girls, they choose to participate and none of your responses will be show to either girls.

Examples of responses: Her nose is to big, her hair is ugly, she is too tan. etc.

Thank you for your participation!

The links to the photos are as follows

I'm thinking about taking my life. There isnt' enough space on this thing to explain the whole situation. I'm depressed over being alone on thanksgiving, i'm in the military and they won't let me go home or nothing, and when try to talk to people about these things on top of everything else, they shun me and tell me to not do it because "it would look bad on them". I already cut myself and like to watch myself bleed. Should i just go all the way and get my wrists too? The only reason why i haven't done it yet is because of one girl i love sooooo much, but it almost seems worth leaving her like that now......

Today my grandmother discreetly told me to stash an envelope in my purse that she handed to me after my dad told her not to. She's given me money that my parents tell her not to give me before. I've learned to, after trying to refuse it in the past, take the money with a gracious thank you.

My dad stopped me after getting home and asked me what my grandmother gave me. I told him she gave me ten dollars along with a small note saying "Just something to say I love you." We were in a recent severe car accident, so I understand that she's glad I'm still here, but dad said something like "You shouldn't have taken that."

I went on to say "What was I supposed to do? If I hadn't accepted it, she'dve been mad. If I did, you would have been mad." He finally admitted to me that she'd try to pay him for part of a relative's funeral flowers that his sister didn't pay a part of. He didn't accept it, so she told him she'd give it to me and did.

What am I supposed to do?

In a month I will be with my girl for 2 years! We have been through so much together that we are so close I can almost garuntee that I will marry her...sometime soon. Anyway she has taken so much sh*t from me in the past year that I want to show her how much I love her and appreciate her for standing beside me the whole way. I thought about getting her this huge diamond ring I saw at the jewlery for about 1k but I feel like I should do somthing more special than just buy her something. Should I take her out somewhere for just the two of us or somewhere more public like a good restaurant then afterward give her the ring...or should I even give her the ring yet. Any suggestions?

If u tell tell ur close female friend that you need a break from her and she DISAGREED\WAS RUDE TOWARDS ME as a result---does it mean anything???

I said this after she said we wudn't go further than friends as she didn't want to risk losing our friendship.(we r attracted to each other-is confirmed).

She said friends don’t take breaks and that I should get a grip---MEANING?

My reason was that she was behaving odd towards me and I thought it best we have some time apart.Especially for me to get over my feelings.

Have said I value our friendship and I mean that.

Advice?
