Hello!!
Dude... This girl is in love. Now she is hurt. In the start, were you both honest about where you stood with each other? It is always so hard in relationships, esp. when we say "friends". I think that sometimes we use the "friends" term to hide behind. Now for that girl, that is lost and she has nothing... I think you just need to stay true to your word. If you want to be with her, then go for it, but just make sure it is what you both want. Make sure you determine what "friends" really mean. Maybe she is scared that YOU do not want to be more than friends, maybe being friends with you was her protection. You should just go and talk with her. Open your heart. Let her know that you were just acting in HER best interest actually...
I wish you all the best my fiend
Love

IMHO you did the right thing. You need some time to get over being attracted to her, which seems like the right thing to do. I would just suggest trying to first calm her down and then explaining to her that you want to get over being attracted to her so it doesnt ruin your friendship. Also explain that it may help her not be attracted to you, and that it might be what she needs also. Also explain that this isnt to be going against her or anything, but simply because you dont want the both of you to have a less stable friendship on the fact that you both are attracted to each other.

Interpretation I would make is if you need a break you simply don't want the relationship......if all becoming a bit odd probably going no where. To value friendship sounds empty if she loves........complicated really. But human emotions are not logical at all times. Take the space......I doubt you will be back.

I really think she likes you and that you hurt her feelings. Sometimes girls say things that they dont mean as a way to feel out the situation..she was probally hoping you would say "We will be friend's no matter what happens, but let's try to see where this leads.." Talk to her-start with saying that you miss her and value her friendship.

I think she likes you alot and saying that has hurt her, maybe your feelings for each other should be explored. She is probably hurting, and I think your friendship will be affected now you have feelings for each other,in a minute there will be a feeling so strong that you will have to give into it........follow to c where it goes

Never expect women to make any sort of sense when it comes to inter-personal relationships, especially with the opposite sex.

She obviously has a lot invested in stringing you along and doesn't want you to get away.
