Marriage & Divorce - 11 July 2006

I'm married and we have had problems for sometime now. Now to be in the clear about it all. I have done my part in causing the problems, I cause him just as much pain, may be more. The thing is that for a long time I have wanted and did tell him that he was hurting me in so many ways. I became someone I was never, I let things go that I would have never let go. Even a very good friend asked me what I was doing. That I had become a door mat. I shut down and big time and I know I did but I could not help it. All I got was more nasty things when I was opening up, still even. The other thing is I have friends and its online and that's become an issue that I should not have my own friends or at least not on the computer with out him knowing them. We have divorce papers signed but have not done anything yet but it got to that point. I have not had anything that I could say was for me in a long time. Yes we are seeing a doctor for help with the marriage, but we still fight over the same thing

I know in my heart that he loves me, but I know that his past doesn't allow him to love me the way he should. I am 9 months pregnant right now and We were engaged and planning the wedding well before finding out about the baby. This is my second marriage, my first husband tried to kill me. I completed my counseling and now I have a much smarter outlook on life. I don't doubt that my new husband loves me. I just know that he has this need to be incontrol and sometimes he just doesn't seem to care what it takes for him to feel that. We married through the church and it is against my beliefs to just walk away or divorce. None of these signs where there before the wedding. I am starting to feel so worthless about myself meanwhile. What do I do?

My screwed in the head x husband has hardly seen his kids in the last several years.. he's remarried to a psychotic woman who cant stand to have his attention pulled off of herself and her two little girls she has now with him.. shes become a wedge between not only our kids but a wedge between his mother as well.. it was bad enough that him being in the Navy made it hard , but now this idiot of an x wife has made it even harder.. My youngest son cant stand her and doesnt even want to see his dad anymore, my oldest son cant stand her but loves and misses his dad very much..and is struggling with the fact that because of his step mother, his dad barely even calls him let alone never see's him now..

I do, do plenty. I work, I clean, I cook, I have helped him raise his 3 kids for the last 6 years. But yet he says I do nothing for him, When really I do alot more than he does. What can I tell him, so that he will see everything that I do, do for him. He doesn't even work and he hasn't had any motivation to go get a job lately. He is a really narrow minded man, I need something really good to tell him, something he will actually listen too.

We've been married for 7 years now, and we're pretty happy. My wife has some issues from her childhood that prevent her from opening up to certain sexual acts or positions. My 2 daughters, ages 12 and 14 are getting to the point of not wanting to spend time with my ex and his wife due to the fact that they tell their "evil plans" to the girls about they want the girls to live with them, taking away certain special occasions from them and I (especially me to piss me off), talking badly about me and my husband (my ex has gone as far as calling him an ahole to my 14 year old which upset her), etc, etc. It has gone as far as his wife saying that I am brain washing them.
I am getting tired of them talking to the girls like this and frankly so are the girls. They are too young to be stressed out. Everytime they are over at their apartment, him and his wife are arguing/fighting about money in front of the girls...even when I am talking to the girls over the phone. The girls end up going outside just to be able to talk to me.
They are so emotionally upset and they do not like seeing the way they treat me and they don't like how my ex and his wife treat them

i have asked him several times over the years to quit driking i am finnaly sick of it.. he says he will quit for me, but he refuses to go to AA... and i fell he really really needs it, he is not abusive whne he drinks but he still drinks too much.. I want him to quit drinking but not for me i want him toquit becase he wants to quit.......... so the real question is .. How do i get him to quit for himself??? i am at my ends i amnot happy any more

I trust my husband but I do see him look at other women and this tears me up inside.
