Last night i went to my boyfriends parents house thinking it would just be, myself, him and his mum 'n' dad just having a meal as it was his Dads birthday. however when we arrived his whole family was there, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends etc. i'd never met any of them before, i wasn't formally introduced to all of them and i just felt like i'd been thrown in at the deep end.

I'm quite a shy person and the thought of being in a room full of people i don't know actually makes me very nervous. my boyfriend knows me well enough to know this but he wasn't at all sympathetic. The worst thing for me was all the sexual inuendo's and comments made by everyone. like his cousin going on about taking him and his dad upstairs to try out the new bed and stuff. i do have a sense of humour but i was more disturbed than amused!

Is it normal to make wise cracks about getting it on with family members or is it just plain wrong? I've never felt so uncomfortable in all my life

This statement drives me absolutly nuts. I hear this from women all the time. Does this irritate anyone else? Some women are so stupid. What are they thinking! Children are a life-time commitment to both the mother and the father/sperm doner if you will.

For you women our there please READ all the stuff here from kids missing/longing for their biological fathers. THINK before you get pregnant. The MARRIAGE is just a PARTY, a ceremony--you won't have a party, but will go through 9 months of pregnancy, push out a baby--it is painful by the way--have to raise the child FOREVER, and the father is never out of your life because you will have the living proof in front of you--his child/children. The fun part, marriage is a legal contract/party that protects any children involved. They will have rights to both parents.

Wise up you silly women/girls out there. Think of your kids for a change. Choosing a good father is the most important thing for your child. Big responsibility!!

Okay, so about ten minutes ago my dad comes storming in my room, yelling and accusing me of losing his keys. Prior to this, i had borrowed his keys to fetch something from the car. I thought i had put the keys on the dining table but I checked the car again and found them lying on the seats. But before I found them, my father had literally followed me around the house, asking over and over where his keys were, telling me that he couldn't trust me, and saying how stupid I was for losing them. This always happens in different situations and It doesn't make me feel good about myself. My mom isn't always around when he throws a fit and I don't know how to react. What can i do to alleviate these problems? Should my dad see a therapist or at least take anger management classes? Do they help?

Her Dad has the right to see her every other weekend, but he doesn't. He will pick her up and leave her with his parents. He will only spend one day a month on average with her. When he does have her he does fun stuff, my fun stuff gets forgotten about. But she tells every one that she loves her Dad more than her Mom. He never goes to her parent teacher conferances or school anything. She wants to live with him and that hurts me alot. I love her with all of my heart and I don't know what to do. I have tried to talk to her with out bashing her father but she won't ever give me a straight answer that is going on in her head. PLEASE HELP!!

My godchildren are 6 and 9. Their father has them every other weekend, he has a swimming pool and runs a industrial lawn company (big equipment). He hires lots of guys that may not be legal, knows very little about them and has high turnover.

He leaves the kids with these guys. I know he doesn't watch the kids the whole time they are in the pool. A month ago the hired hands killed a pig in front of the 6 and 9 year old, by shooting it 5 times (they counted!) slit it head to tail, drained the blood and gutted it. This didn't bother them which makes me wonder what else they have seen!

When the little one was 3 he said that "Daddy Ed said he could make the house go boom with you and Daddy Dan."

My friend is worried about reporting anything for fear that "Daddy Ed" will take the kids away. He is paying half the child support and none of the insurance. I am thinking of reporting him myself. Would you? How do I report?

since I could remember, I was always a target of my mother's anger in life.. I was always told that she wished she never had me, wished that the needle was sharper that she aborted me... and yet today, she is still in denial of her actions, when in fact I know full well that she used me for her own "want"....
I have such hate in my heart toward her, yet, my pity exceeds her been of a being...
I was always a black mark in her book according to her... always told me that I was her "curse" in life...
she tonight made me feel once again a target of her own anger in life, and yet she played it on me...
I feel sick to the pits of my stomach...
now I know why I have such anger in my heart and soul....
I feel so very utterfly useless as a human being... nothing I did was ever good enough for her, nothing, no praise, no thanks in helping her get over her divorce, no thanks in 'picking" her up when in down and in despair...
Lord... why do I bear another cross... ?

My brother was born in 1970 and only lived 1 hour, mom nor us kids ever got to see him, do you think it is possible that the hospital will have a picture of him in their records or in the autopsy files? If so I am going to request a copy. I know where I work and if a child dies the staff takes a picture so if in the future the family decides they want one, we have one on file for them."

I have a grandfather who is mean, grumpy, and downright cold. Now the issue is... My stepmom a, wonderful person, has two children both from different relationships, one, the youngest son whom my father has adopted, has no contact with his biological father and for this reason does not have any grandparents from that side. My dad now has a little girl, two years old, from my stepmom. My grandfather wants to see his granduaghter, but he does not want to be a part of my little brothers life or my stepmoms, this is tearing the family apart, how can we all be involved happily without having one child feel unwanted?

If someone sets up a myspace account under a false name and gets information on another person that can be used against them, is it admissible in court? I recently found out that the person my ex is with is smoking weed on the weekends when they're in town and I was just seeing if I could use it. She admits to it on a message she sent back to me. He's supposed to have my son on the weekends but I don't want my son exposed to that kind of thing, especially since he's only 8 years old.

I'm 32. Financially secure & the divorced mother of a 7 year old boy. I am also in a serious relationship with man who is not interested in having any more children. He has 3 of hlis own, and they live with us on a every-other-weekend basis. I want more children. Should I have one on my own via sperm bank or donor? I have mentioned this to my boyfriend who isn't opposed to it, but I'm not sure if that is a good idea. I'm not getting any younger, ya know!

Or do it all to me. or worse could he just be trying to do it all to my other brother (21 year and a little on the slow side). I could not let it happen agian or to my brother(21).

My grandson just turned 7 in Jan. His mom is very ill. He is scared.I am trying to come up with ways to distract him. He is an excellent student. Would you be willing to send him a letter or post card with an interesting fact about where you live? He could take them to school for show and tell. You know how kids like getting things in the mail. It would give him something to look forward to everyday.I appreciate your willingness to help.

Okay I am going to start from the beginning. A year and a half ago my mother in law kicked out my father in law because he has a drinking and gambling problem and can not hold a job longer that 2 months. The day this happened he called my husband (his son) and asked if he could stay with us a while. My husband said he could because we both figured it would blow over and he would go home. Well that did not happen. He stayed with us foe a while and when we said there is no drinking in our house and we are not giving him money he left. He then went back tothe town his other 2 kids live in and started asking them to stay with them and for money. He still drinks a case of beer a day does not work and is living in my dad's basement. I should tell you my dad and him were friends before all of this happened. Well my dad is fed up and so are the rest of us. He is 58 years old and it is time to grow up and get a job and move on with his life. He is now asking my husband to live with us.
