My dad and my mom were never married and he Ive seen my dad five times in the last two years and zero times in the last year I don't know if he really loves me and I can't ever remember him ever keeping a promise!

I feel so bad for the situations like these. I was blessed to have parents who married and will be celebrating 38yrs of marriage.
I just want to say, YOU cant make someone love you honey. Just keep your chin up and remember NOT to get involved with anyone like that so your children one day dont feel that pain.

My mom and dad were never married...your doing better than me I am almost 21 and have never seen him...he knows I exist though. One thing you must understand is that nothing is your fault...and even if he never comes back its his loss. I don't doubt that my father loves me as well as yours...seeing you have having you in his life may not be something he is ready for.

Unfortunately, he can't handle being a father. Hard but accept it and move on, don't let it make you bitter. Some people shouldn't be parents.
