I'm 32. Financially secure & the divorced mother of a 7 year old boy. I am also in a serious relationship with man who is not interested in having any more children. He has 3 of hlis own, and they live with us on a every-other-weekend basis. I want more children. Should I have one on my own via sperm bank or donor? I have mentioned this to my boyfriend who isn't opposed to it, but I'm not sure if that is a good idea. I'm not getting any younger, ya know!

I think if you're mate doesn't want anymore you should reconsider you're mate. If you go to a sperm bank and have get pregnant I think it's going to cause problems you are going to want a man to be there thru it and he won't be interested. So it should be a decision you both can agree with.

If he is not interested in any more children, then if you want to keep him you better think about it very seriously, you could be raising two children on your own. If he doesn't want any more, and you have another child then he may say bye, it was nice while it lasted.

Do you think your "new" son or daughter will want a father? Will they need a father??? Yes, they will. Kids need a mom and a dad. Look around. That is clear. Kids do well when they are a product of a loving family...not a loving mom, not a loving dad...a loving family!
They need both.

I am not sure if that is the solution to your problem since your partner doesn't want anymore children, what makes you think that he will want this child that you want to have. Maybe you should find someone who wants children.
