A programme on BBC1 about the ancestors and family history of Celebrities. Very interesting! Colin Jackson (Athlete) was on tonight and he discovered than one of his ancestors was of Scottish descent. Have you researched your own family tree andif so have you uncovered any surprises?

i dont get why my parents are mad at me shaving my mustache. i didnt want it, i want to be clean cut. i followed the appropriate procedures for shaving. but they're still mad. i shaved because i dont like growing facial hair, and i think that u can look the way u want. also im i16 yrs old, they try to ontrol nearly about me, like my clothes even the sports i play-they didnt let me play football!! coz i might get injured but injury happens in any sport. they dont even let me watch shows like Friends, or mtv for some reason. im worried that ill be a parents boy forever, because i let them keep doing this to me. whenevr i talk to them aout this they just dont want to listen. sory for taking so long with this question but i needed to get all this of my chest. i know theyre worried about me, but im growing weary of their obsesive control. they also dont let me stay home alone at night for some reason. what am i gonna do?looks like i wont be free till college they'reprobably gonna letgo then

His full name was George Arthur Fletcher, but everyone called him 'Art'. He was born in Bath, Mich. in 1941 but moved when he was small to Florida, where I believe he still has 2 brothers. He moved to California, later, met my mom, Mary Margaret Lemos Fletcher. They married in 1970. Had three girls, Leslie, Anne, & Jillian(Me). He died in January of 1989 from ALS ( Lou Gerigs Disease) His siblings are named Ruth, Warren, & Milton. We have all seemed to lose contact over the years. I have not spoken to the brothers since he died in 1989. I was 12 years old. I would love to find any info or family history. His parents names were Floyd Fletcher and Grace (Young) Fletcher.

I hate my sister...she loves to come in my room and throw away my stuff. Once, she threw my report card into the garbage!! She's like no ordinary human cause basically she doesn't care what you say and I'm really piss cause she just threw away my cleanser!!

My wife and I are hoping to have our first baby soon.

My mother-in-law has asked to be our child's nanny part time while my wife is working. (She is highly qualified with a college degree in child development and experience.)

My mother asked to live with us and in exchange nanny for us, and we said no and explained that my wife's mother had agreed to being nanny first.

My own mother is jealous of this idea and feels she would need more time with our child than once a week.

We don't care if my wife's parents see our child everyday because they are good people, but my mother is a difficult and bitter person.

We really don't want to be around my mother more than a few times a month.

Both of our families live within 10 minutes of us.

How do we deal with my mother and how much time should she spend with our child? I am the only child, so this will be her only grandchild.

My husband and I borrowed $300 from my 14 year old cousin over the summer. He was working with my husband and living with us. We used it for food since we had seven children in our home...not all ours and sorta not by choice.

At the end of the summer his dad came back for him and his brother. Two weeks later he wound up in jail for having meth on him. Because my uncle is a convict the charge was a felony. As time has gone his bail has dropped from $45000 to $500. So $50 will bond him out.

So my cousin knew I got a grant last Friday and wants his money, of course. I know if I give it to him in full he'll bail his dad out, his dad will take whats left and go blow it on meth.

Do you think it's crappy to dole out $25 every two weeks to my cousin so he has spending money in his pocket while he's in school & stuff but not enough to bail his dad out?? What would you do??

My mother is 50, I am 25 and married with no children.

My wife and I own a house that we are happy with and its big enough for the two children we hope to have one day.

We are planning to try for our first baby soon and my mother has decided it would be a good idea to live together!

She has suggested several times that we sell our house and buy another one with a guest house or granny flat so she can live with us.

She said she could be our nanny for our future children!!

My mother is overbearing and needy because I am the only child and she hasn't been in a relationship for 10 years. She almost wants me to take care of her like a husband should.

There's no way this is going to happen! How do I get her to understand I am not going to have two wives?!

My wife said she wants to be a wife and mother without my mother trying to take over our household.

Am I horrible for not wanting to live with her?

I have 9 younger siblings. When they all lived at home we would go and see each one and bring a gift and have cake and everything. Now three of them are married (as am I) and living away from home. What should I do when their brithday comes up? Send them a card? A gift? An ecard? None of them have parties or anything. Also, should I do anything for their spouses birthday? This is just so confusing! We still visit the siblings that live at home on their birthdays and take a gift and everything. It seems weird to stop celebrating the other ones just because they are married.
