… on his wife…
Are we talking about ‘your mother’?
I’m sorry I don’t quite understand your question…
Did your dad cheat on your mum?
Anyway, I don’t believe that ‘confronting’ your dad is the correct approach to take.
You are perhaps fully within your rights to ‘ask him about it’ but try to do it in a courteous and respectful manner….
“Dad, I love you very much, but I need you to help me to understand why you did what you did…”
Has the cheating stopped?…
Has his wife (your mother) forgiven him?
If ‘the wife’ is your mother, you would perhaps be better advised to talk to her about your dad’s cheating.
Talking to your mum will probably help you to understand why your dad did what he did…
Whereas, approaching your dad, could perhaps lead to you getting into trouble with him.
Sorry I can’t offer any other suggestions.
Perhaps if you were to give some additional details, it would give me more to work on.
Good luck !!!

No - mind your own business and in time you will realize that life gets real complicated sometimes and people make really horrible decisions, but they know it, too. Be the kind of person you want to be and be a good person. Your Dad probably wishes he never did the things he did in life and you will never truly know why he did it or what happened in life to make him do those things.

The correct answer depends on the situation. If you can tell that the non-confession of his past is negatively effecting his current relationship with his wife or his emotional state, then yes, talk to him (privately) about it. Otherwise, keep the past in the past.

If he Is your DAD you are a part of his life, and the choices he makes, has its affect on your life too, NO matter WHAT anyone else says, Grownup try to act like they are mature, but actions speek louder then words.

No, you are out of line and out of place. Do not interfere. Leave this one alone. You did say that it was in the past...let it stay there. Now get on with your life!

I did but he always want to work around the question. He really gets on my nerves when he does that. But hey, he's my dad and I love him unconditionally but that doesn't mean I respect his antics.

No, it is their relationship. You had your relationship with them. Not the same thing. You may ask him about it, but do not accuse him. You don't know what his reasons might have been at the time.
