Family - July 2006

i live with inlaws and pay rent every week to them and buy food too. I cook and clean up after the whole family that lives here too. thats a brother inlaw to that lives here. i have been putting the web cam on to see if they break in my room and look around. i have some pictures and movies of them looking around at my stuff. is there somthing i can do to make this stop/ i know to move out is a good thing to do but is there a law that protects me and my stuff. please let me know what i should do and please no answers saying MOVE OUT. CAUSE I KNOW THAT

I am a mother of 2, ages 5 and 4 months. He is a truck driver that works 14+hrs day & hes home every night. All I ask him to do is play w/ the kids and take the trash out when he gets home. Am I wrong to expect that of him? He thinks so!!

The acccident accurred by me as i had been drinking and driving and the man that i hit did not make it and i know his family and they wish to speak with me and i as well with them, but i can not find the words to express my deepest sympathy. help me to find a way other then what comes to heart and will it be offensive if i give them flowers when we meet?

My big sister makes fun of me and takes pleasure in treating me like I'm stupid. I love her dearly, and she loves me, but sometimes I don't think she likes me much (yes there is a difference). How do I deal with it? (Please don't say get over it, because it's not that easy)

i have a four year old that hits,pinches,bites,spits, and kicks me. but only when hr grandmother is around. when the grandmother is not aroun she is the perfect child. i have marks from my four year old everywhere. we live with the grandmother and cant afford to move out like i know we should. i just got laid off too. i have tried taking to the grandmother and tried telling her to stop letting her get away with stuff. please help. does anyone know what i should do?

making them watch bad movies such as Battlefield Earth,The Beverly Hillbillies,Gigli, any of The Cheech and Chong movies of the 1980s,The Island of Dr. Moreau,Waterworld,Biodome,Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever, and really any Adam Sandler movie.. ..for every time they misbehave they would have to watch a certain amount of time of each movie..The amount of time depends on the level of disobedience. For example not cleaning your room would result in having to watch 30 minutes of a wet Kevin Costner in "Water World" If this works on my kids I think I will write a book and make millions. I really Think I'm on too something..

My mother in law never said thank you for the mother's day gift we sent her. She told her other son she didn't think much of it and starting talking about the things in her household she needed to have fixed etc... She never called to say thank you or that she recieved it even after my hubby asked her about it. Is it wrong not to send her anything next year?

If a male's mother does not approve of her new daughter in law's pregnancy (yes, her son is the father), never calls to see how she or the baby is doing and plays devil's advocate when her son and daughter in law get into quarrels, is it fair for her to want to visit and offer to help care for the baby when he/she is born? Needless to say the daughter in law is not the least bit thrilled and actually stressing over the idea of her wanting to visit at that time.

My mother has been married to her husband for ten years. In that time we have never been able to form are own relationship and trust me over that amount of time I have tried everything I could to have some type of connection with him. Now I am married myself and have my own family. My mom is mad at me because I don't want me kids to know her husband as their grandfather. Am I being unreasonable?

I am 25, he is 40. We've never felt our age created any obstacles in our relationship of over a year... we love each other deeply, and find each other irreplaceable. I feel it in my soul that there could not be anyone else who could touch my heart more deeply than he does. But because he is older, he is ready to have children. I love kids and want 2 or 3 of my own, but I wasn't seriously thinking about it for another 2 years... His biological clock is ticking, but he does not want to lose me, but does not want to pressure me to have kids too soon. We are both torn and heartbroken... any advice?

I just got this great job working at a online university as an admissons advisor. My parents were happy that i got a job like that. My god it pays well and has sooooooo many perks. Anyway i am soooo glad i dont have to work at my dads shop being a receptionist oh god i hated it with a passion anyway i gave my dad a 2weeks notice. But he couldnt find anyone who could do the job so he rehired the old receptionist he who couldnt stand. So he asked me on saturdays could work because its the busiest day
so i said fine until i get my first check i cant wait to c how it looks i never ever made more that 7.50 per hour now 20.00. Anyway i told my dad that once i get my check i am not going to be working on saturdays because i want to rest because i have to get up very early to get to my job, i can work overtime when ever i feel like it and make more money than with my dad. My mom was like well dont you want to make more money i said yea thats i will work until the 15th of august when i get....
