Tell them you left your web cam on by mistake and that you saw that they were looking around in your room. Act them if you can help them find what they were looking for. Act as if you are concerned that they couln't find "the thing".
They will be embarrassed they were caught and you did not put them on the spot with accusations.
They might even apologize.
Don't expect a truthful answer. All you want them to do is stop right.

if you are paying rent then keep track of every cent you give them for the room. get a lock and put it on the door. do you have a rental contract or anything in writing? do you pay by check or if you pay cash use a money order.keep papers in order bacause if they cause trouble a lot of times this type of thing can go to court. put a lock on the door first. then when they mention the lock that is when you confront them .Get legal advise . it is a free consult.you have the right to privacy. and keep a journal and copies of your film.
A locking doorknob will not harm the door and you can put the old one back on when you move.
start looking for another place after you get things in order.you have a right to privacy. take a look at craigslist.org in your area . there are rooms people are renting and looking for roomates .
relatives can be the worst. but you can learn from this and be prepared for the next place you rent.Good Luck. remember ,everything in writing.

Being that you are paying rent and doing more than your share of the housework, you do have the right to sit down and talk to them and let them know that you do not appreciate them getting into your personal belongings.
Unfortunately, since you are in THEIR home, there is not a law that says that they do not have the right to do that. Now if a landlord came rummaging through your apartment, that's a different case.
Figure out a way to lock your door or even hide things that you do not want them getting into . Another thing YOU MIGHT want to consider if you can afford it is maybe storing some of your valuables into a storage shed.

As a rule - if you were renting an apartment, there is a lease which is a "contract" and there are rules as far as entry is concerned. My guess is you don't have a written contract (you didn't say) -- and they do OWN the home. I am sorry but I think you are just kind of stuck with it. Can you talk to them about it? Tell them you left the webcam on by "accident" one day and found out they were invading your privacy. Of couse, they could end up getting defensive too. You are kind of in a sticky situation. I'm sorry.

There is nothing you can do while on their property, especially if you living there is only a verbal agreement.
You might possibly think of leaving a small note on top of what you've witnessed them going through in the past.
Note could read: Please put everything back where it was after your done going through my personal things.
It makes the point known and is polite at the same time. Could make them stop and keep a roof over your head at the same time.

I used to be a landlord, so I know the answer to this.
If you don't have a written agreement, get one. It's as simple as writing up on a piece of paper, "I ____ agree to pay ____ $__ a week for rent for a room in their house and use of [whatever other rooms you are allowed to use]" , make sure you date it, and ask them to sign it, and you sign it. Put it in as safe place where they can't get to it. If they refuse to sign it, buy a book of receipts and make them give you one when you pay, or better yet, pay with checks and write "For rent [dates]" on the memo line. After you get your first receipt, or pay with your first check, or they sign that agreement, put a lock on the door. Nothing they can do.
While you're at it, it wouldn't hurt to get back receipts for all of the time you have already paid.
If they enter your room, you can sue them for invasion of privacy. As long as you are paying for that space, you have a reasonable expectation of privacy.

What a demanding determination. because of fact which you have such a number of themes now concerning privateness, and so on. and you have slightly one on the way, i think of you will desire to take the mothers and fathers upstair loose, until you may arise with the money for a place of your individual. this would motivate you to stay centred on your objective of shifting out. Your In-regulations ought to even help slightly with the infant. you have a demanding determination to make, yet i'd nevertheless circulate the loose course. it is temporary. you will proceed to exist, you have been surviving lots worse and you will desire to have had some privateness because of fact that there's slightly one on the way. solid success and each little thing would be only high quality.

Their house or not, you pay rent to live there and that entitles you to privacy. Buy one of those little alarm things for your bedroom door, the ones that just stick to the door jam, that way they know that you're on to them, instead of having to confront them completely.

Best thing to do is talk to them about it!!
I'm not sure if legally there is anything that can be done!!
You are stuck in a situation that has little to no answer!!
Moving is not an option and not possible but it is morally wrong for them to invade your privacy!!
Good Luck!!
