It seems a shame that the parent of those children is doing drugs and someone else is raising them. With that in mind your aunts and uncles can raise their children as they see fit (unless it hurts mentality and physically). I can hope that the parent can get his/her stuff straight so eventually (and if the aunts/uncle) don't make it a legal issue of the biological parent not seeing their children due to drug abuse. My prayers are with all of you. Ciao and Godspeed.

I am raising 2 boys that I adopted through our state's social services. Only now they aren't other peoples children, they are my children.

one of the parents is on drugs? can't the other parent take the children? too bad detox facilities and addiction counselling are so difficult to obtain. i hope the parent on drugs can get clean and get their kids back.

anyone here who adopted is raising someone else's child. my friend S. considers her adoption to be done and over with now that she's an adult. she found her original family and moved back with them and is annulling her adoption now. she's changing her name back too.
