making them watch bad movies such as Battlefield Earth,The Beverly Hillbillies,Gigli, any of The Cheech and Chong movies of the 1980s,The Island of Dr. Moreau,Waterworld,Biodome,Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever, and really any Adam Sandler movie.. ..for every time they misbehave they would have to watch a certain amount of time of each movie..The amount of time depends on the level of disobedience. For example not cleaning your room would result in having to watch 30 minutes of a wet Kevin Costner in "Water World" If this works on my kids I think I will write a book and make millions. I really Think I'm on too something..

Ethical?????? Simply , not a good move. When children don't listen - I take away my son's tv and or video games. Also, He is not allowed out anywhere with his friends. If you are that lazy, your children are going to grow up to be just like you. I guess you don't care either. There are several other ways to disapline kids without pain or much struggle. Talking to them helps sometimes too. Getting them to see the consequences of their actions. Unless you want to see you kids in jail or dead. Thats right you don't care about that either.

I'm worried about your kids, wow, Adam Sandler movies, there's hope that you can save them . At least they are not watching David Letterman and Saturday Night Live.. PLEASE for the sake of HUMANITY , keep them away from rap and whine rock . Whine Rock is groups like Three Doors Down,Staind,Hoobastank,James Blunt,Coldplay, any group that sings off-key and a whiney tone.
IF that happens, Their brain is done.

When I was 5 my brother and I were fighting. It was Christmas Eve so our parents made us stay up and watch tv with them. I kept worrying that if we didn't get to bed Santa wouldn't be able to come.

As for your idea go for it but make it even worse by occasionally turning off the sound and then putting it way up and constantly keep changing it.

what does ethical mean to you? I am surprised you can spell it! My kids would watch the worst movie ever made ALL DAY to avoid corporal punishment! Your not punishing, your raising morally challenged children....and you will pay the price.

Sounds like you know a thing or two about child rearing. Dr. Phil has nothing on you!

what you need to do is get them off the couch and do some house work because if you are to lazy to punish your kids I hate to see what your house looks like.

No, that sounds like fair punishment. If it tortures them after they've been bad, go 4 it!

i think their punishment is having a father like you who obviously doesn't love his children enough to try to insure that they become productive citizens. that is what is wrong with our society today by which everyone just does what they want.
