my friend has bullimia (dont know if i spelt it right???), she is depressed and suicidal and has many problems with her past (she was sexualy abused most of her life). she has just started new anti depressants and they are playing her moods a bit(mood swings). she is seeing a councelor and phycologist and doctors and stuff but she seem to be getting worse. i am worried about her, i want to help but there is only so much i can do. she is only 16 and so am i we live together with my boyfriend and she spends alot of time in her room crying to music. she gets angry and tries to kill herself or cuts herself. they cannot admit her into hospital coz they dont think its serious enough even the police cant get her in there. how can i be there for her without making her feel smothered or uncomfortable. i cant leave her alone alot for fear she will hurt herself... i want her to eat properly but i dont want 2 push her 2 far and have her throw up again. what do i do. only serious answers please.

Does anyone know any way to marginally increase the size of their shoe? Even by half a size by just stretching the leather?

I vaguely remember Roald Dahl has a technique of putting shoes in a bag of water then freezing them... I just can't remember if this shrunk them or increased their size? Anyone else remember?

i came to america 10 months ago, and to the people back home, its pretty cool for me to be in new york now. but i may need to move to LA soon for a new job. now the question is, does it matter to me, that new york is cooler than LA in terms of it's fame?
should i care about showing people back home a picture of me in central park when it's snowing? or shouldn't i care more about having a job that matters to me in LA? it's just that i dont know how to prove to people that i actually am in new york. but in the end, who really cares right? i guess im just asking to validate the answer for myself. i mean, do u care if any of your relatives went to europe and they wanna show u photos and u just say 'yawn'?
i dont know what im saying. but the point is that in the end of it all, do people really care about where u've been or where u are?
in the end shouldnt it matter more that we ourselves know where we've been and what we are doing and be happy bout it?

My mom and i have a bad relationship--she threw me out and I was forced to live in a homeless shelter while I go to college. Its been six months, but she still comes to my job and bothers me by calling me stupid in front of the customers or by telling everyone that she is my mom and she doesn't know why I don't talk to her. My dad keeps bothering me and he's getting on my nerves. He does silly things and acts like a little kid sometimes. He comes into my room and annoys me. For example, sometimes he just stands in my doorway, pretends like he's eating popcorn and says stuff like, "Wow, what else can you do?" He makes up silly nicknames for me and does alot of other irritating things. I ask him to stop, I ignore him, and sometimes (most of the time) I yell and scream at him. He's always been kind of silly, but now that I'm older and since I've been home from college for the summer it seems he's escalated to SUPER annoying. My mom says he does that because I don't talk to him enough. But how can I talk about anything serious with him? What can I do to make him cool it?

See, my mother died 4 months ago and I really miss her since I am only 16 and graduating from high school this year! I only cry when no one is around and I am completely alone. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? She passed away from cancer and I think about her every day and My father thinks that I am okay, but really I dont know if I am okay. What should I do? And if you are not going to take this seriously then you can go to hell because I just cried my eyes out an hour ago! If you think that I am lying about my mothers death, then dont answer this question because I am telling the truth, I would never lie about something like my only mother dying. Please HELP ME!!!!

We have had lots of reports out on my mom and i was wondering since i am going to the SS on Monday should i tell my mom what i tell her or should i tell my mom that i covered her a** but telling everyone a lie? If I tell my mom I told the SS what she did i would be in so much trouble with my mom it would so not be funny!!! Please tell me what i should do! Please help.

am with someone whose child is 13 and out of hand. He Recently moved in with us and will not behave. He lies, steals, fails school, hits my children, and has no respect for anyone. I have tried to talk to his dad about therapy and discipline and he just take the defense. I have tried to make him feel like on of the family but it is getting hard when i have no say so about what he does. I tell him he cant do something and his father says ok. I treat him like my own including I love you's but Im getting to the point I cant do it anymore and I do not want my kids thinking that his behavior is ok and following his foot steps. I feel Im being more unfair to my kids who get punished for doing bad things when the step son gets off scott free. I have to hide the fact my kids are going out with friends and relatives because the people who invite them cant handle the other. I dont tell him because I dont want to hurt his feelings but why should I not let my kids go because of him

I have a 13 year old daughter and she comes home and tells me nightmare stories about her friends? Most of them wanting to lose their virginity by the time they are 14 and want to grow up to be single parents. Stealing, Have boyfriends? I dont allow her to go and socialise with these children outside school you know at the weekends to the cinema or ice skating. Am too worried. There are boys in my area that like my daughter to and are forever knocking on the door for her to see if she is aloud out. Again i dont let her go outside apart from maybe talk to them in the front garden. She says all her friends say that i am too strict and treat her like a baby, but its the summer holidays and I dont know what to do, i dont want to be the horrible mum, I do let her hang around with the nice children. Am i over protective? Am i worrying too much? Can someone please help me.
