There is nothing wrong with that. Your mom loves you very much and sounds like a very good parent who cares about you. It is SOO important to get enough sleep. You will be smarter, too if you sleep 8 hrs. a night **and drink plenty of water during the day**. Your friends' moms who let them go to bed whenever they want and don't set a bed time for them don't love their kids as much as your mom loves you. 10:00 is not too early for you to go to sleep. You don't have to tell anyone if they think it is weird and/or lame. Once you turn 14, then it is time for mom to let you go to bed all by yourself. There won't be a need for her to pull the covers up over you, but a good night hug is always nice to give your mom who works hard to support you and raise you right (smiles)

No, it is not strange, she loves you.
He went to bed at 9 PM on school nights until he was 14. He either kissed me good night or I tucked him in.
When he is home now, I still get a hug and a kiss at least once a day. We both know how precious life is. We appreciate each other.

I still go in and tell my 16 year old stepson good night. The bed times are a little early but your mom may have a reason for them. Good luck!

If you're ashamed than honey you may wanna refrain from telling other people & you should express that concern to your mom. Let her know that you appreciate the gesture but you are getting older & want to be treated more mature.
I don't think you'll hurt her feelings.

No it's not unusual for that age. My mother some times did the same, when I was 13.

awww, she doesn't want you to grow up. She just loves you and is over protected. You should be able to go to bed when you want on the weekends. I let my little kids and teenager do those things.

maybe shes not ready to realize that you are older now, its hard to tell your mom to quit that. Its something sensitive for moms for some reason. like theyre letting go of their child, they will start to do that for everything, its a fact of life for moms!
