I ask stupid questions but no one will answer them?

I was told by more than one college professor, ( and I attended & graduated from an Ivy League colleges ) there are no stupid questions. In only one regard can I think that someone may answer your question with : "That's a stupid question" that instance being if in asking your question it was apparent that you had not been listening, ( really listening ) to the person who may have responded to your question. Sometimes people resond in such a manner because they do not know the answer to your question and it makes them feel empowered to put you down. If I were you and someone responded to me in such a manner I would reply in the following manner: Gosh, does that mean you don't know the answer??? Because if you don't know the answer I can ask someone else who might know the answer. I thinks it's clear that when people respond in that insulting manner they clearly don't want to be bothered, interrupted by any questions.... Find someone who cares and ask all the questions you want. A wise person knows that no one knows all the answers. A good person never insults another person by saying, "that's a stupid question"!

I answered one of your other questions. Maybe they aren't interested in the topic. Who knows. Some will only answer a question if its something to start an argument. Or vent. Me, I see lots of questions I wouldn't even bother with an answer, like a question that bashes one group or idea. Its just bad taste to even ask them. I guess you can expect other answers like the ones I've read above me. But if you're having fun, and its not in bad taste, go ahead.
