Family - July 2006

I want to be able to control my temper in a safe manner without wanting to fight.I was raised fighting and I want to break the family ways because I'm teaching my 2 kids the wrong way of handling things.

My twin girls are almost two and are definitely a couple of angels with a devilish side. When they get mad ( and it could be over anything) or if they're just in the mood to do it, the slap me, each other, and my fiancee in the face. Bite, throw things, (over and over a again.) One has a temper so bad that I'll stop her from doing something she isn't supposed to and she'll turn around and hit ,slap her sister up and push her to the ground. When I keep her from doing that, she'll start in on me something terrible, trying everthing in her power to hurt me. She anger in her face that scares me. She grabs around my leg and bites several times. Hits, and throws things from tables and toy chests at me If I'm on her level, she'll grab fistfulls of my face and tear away while I'm getting her sis out of the way. The only thing I've found slightly successful is time outs. Beyond that, I don't what to do to curb this sort of behavior. It makes me feels as though I'm doing something wrong..

me an my girls(5&2) take bath togather and play funny games and laugh......however, I remain naked during bath with them. Is there a problem ? How long should I continue this?

My son is now ten and we have never had contact with his biological dad. I heard awhile ago that after a certain amount of time in which the said father does not try to be part of or contact the child , that he no longer has parental rights. Does anyone know if this is true?

I will try to keep this one short! I thought I would post it here to see if I get a better response. To keep it short I will not give details but I will say my mother is narccisitic, milipultive and can be abusive to children. (I saw it with my neice and nephew) She has not contacted me since the day before I was induced. I am not using my baby as a weapon to keep her from my parents, I just don't want her around my TOXIC FAMILY.

They stand for nothing and lack morals and values. I do not want her in that environment. Everyone is talking about "grandparents rights". What about my right as a mother to protect my child, so she won't have to suffer the way I did.

he hase sleped with her off and on from the time he wase ten till we got to gather. i thought every thing wase great but i cant get this out of my head. she wase verry pretty but it's grose. when we go to his perents i look at her and get descusted. i dont know what to do or haw to aproch the siuation with out sounding like a ***** or un senistive. HIS STEP SISTER!!!! People come on .

i am into relation for 1 yr of which i dont see any future, values, morals as we both are married.i need to act immediately & wants a clean break asap.I spoke to her, she is ok with my decision provided that i give her more time.Since i said NO, she started calling me ..several times but i dont answer...V both knows its not going to work? then y cheating every minute.My only concern is, shud i break it all of a sudden or give her more time to slow down ..please help....

My sister and I both have 2 kids. I am not a fanatic, but I do limit the amount of junk food my kids eat. While that is all hers eat. When ever they stay over I can't get them to eat a real meal. They bring there own food all junk food candy bars, soda, chips.When they do this it makes my kids want to act the same way. So I asked my sister to please not send any food with them. She got all bent out of shape and told me to kiss her A$$. And will not let her kids come to my house now. It is bothering my kids and hers because they are all very close, and are really missing each other. What can I do. By the way both of her kids are over wieght, and she is extremely over wieght.

my dad had an affair when married to my mum in the mid 70's, i just found out his 'bit on the side' became pregnant and had a little girl, my half sister. i want to find her but my family said NOT to as it will cause to much heartache all round. how can they expect me to forget i have a sister some where out there, WHAT WOULD YOU DO??
