Hey i dunno what to do.. ive been with this girl for 3 years.. ive been in the Marine corps for 2 years... she has stuck it out with me for this long.. but now shes saying she cant do it.. im in san diego and shes in portland.. now the only way that i can stay with her is if i get married... but i dunno if thats a good reason to get married just so i can be around her..what do you think?

Ok so ive been in love with this girl for like 3 years but she didnt love me back, so we were "just freinds" after a while i started to finally get over it, and then i met this other girl who i started to like but i still wasnt completly over the first girl, so i didnt do anything. Now the first girl tells me that she does love me and has for the last year but didnt want to tell me. She tells me that we have to wait two years to date so she can get herself "settled". I had been waiting to hear her say that for years but then i started thinking of this new girl and i couldnt get her outa my head. I dunno what to do. I was almost over this girl. and i really like this new girl. Now im really confused. What should I do?

i have this guy friend who keeps postponing their marriage by the church, his woman and him keep on having arguments, that are big, not small, he has thought about getting a divorse and not going through with the church thingie, well, they make up and then they fight again, they've been going at it for over 6 months... now... i don't really think they should get married... but, what do you guys think?? she's controling, manipulative and a bit of a blackmailer, since he doesn't have any family here, she always tells him that without her he's nothing, and that in their apartment the only thing he owns is his clothes... stuff like that.

i heard from a friend that this guy who comes into my work liked me, and he started giving me complements saying he liked my hair/clothes etc.. anyways he asked me out and i said "yes" and turned around and walked away, the next time i saw him he asked if i was free and i said i was busy. I saw him in the street a week or so later and started flirting with him, and he asked for my number, and i gave it to him...he called a few days later, and when i answered and he said who he was i pretended i didnt know who he was, after he explained who he was i said "oh sorry" and hung up on him... now he acts weird around me...

I asked my friend why he did that and he said that it's because he owes a debt to his parents. They are the ones who raised him and send him to school. His dad even told me that he was his "investment" and lives the good life back in the PI. While my buddy and his wife are struggling. I guess from my understanding a parent puts his kid to school and raise him right so that in return he would be able to do the same for his or her children. Not once did my parents asked me to pay them back for my education or my upbringing. We argued for a little while about this issue and he ended it with "It's just part of our culture" I don't think that's true, is it? . If there is anyone here who can explain this to me a little better I'd appreciate it.

My girlfriend just invited me over to her house this weekend. We've been dating for a few weeks now, been on a few dates. I've never been to her house. She said she wanted to ride jet skis and maybe watch a movie. She then just told me today that her jet skis are broken and have been for some time now. What is she wanting to do at her house? i was cheated on raped and just treated worst than a adog by my ex husband, i know he is a loser but at the same time i loved him then and i guess i still do now because i mostly think of the good times now and the qualitys he has that my current husband doesn't sometimes i actually think my ex loved me but just couldn't keep it in his pants(sex addict?) Anyways things didn't get bad till the end of our five yrs together. My husband now i don't feel is a cheater his x cheated on him which i can understand why he is a better man than my ex more responsible grown up ect but he is a nag and i thinks he was lonely and i helped him over his loneliness as my ex husband did the same for me i married someone just like myself and in a way they drive you to cheat showng no affection ect. Now i crave my ex husband's loving ways i don't understand this i think of him everyday as he might me he told me that once when we seperated before our divorce but since the divorce we never talked 3yrs now.

I am terribly confused. Have said nothing. My closest friends and people that I live with have picked up on the situation and have said that I am playing a couple of men. I think of these men as my friends, but lately, meeting up for drinks seems to lead into dinner dates and things. I am unsure of how I feel and I two of the men know each other quite well, and I have made sure that each of them know that the other is in my life. I'm so confused... What do you think??? Should I go for it and see where it goes, or should I just withdraw completely. I am extremely attracted to one physically, but the other is also good looking and one of the nicest (albeit a little eccentric) guys I have ever met in my life.

What is all the hype about diamond rings ? Tradition ? Why not another favorite, just as beautiful...yet more unique precious stone ?

Personally I like deep red garnets, luminous opals...even some other not so precious stones...yet are precious to look at and pleases the eye. I know opals are delicate stones...but you get the point.

How 'bout starting a ' movement ' and bucking the system and choosing other stones in special occasion rings ? The message of wearing some other stone other than diamond being..." She (or I'm) unique and a 'common' diamond does not reflect the uniqueness of our love, style, person that she is etc....get creative.

How did diamonds get to be the 'chosen' diamond anyway ? I say get unique...chose a unique stone...or be bold and have no ring at all and just hold each others hands allot knowing your love is true...it will beam from you...others will know and smile. More importantly...you'll know.
