Good Morning America reported a proposal to allow new husbands to change thier last name to thier new bride's surname.

In America, it is traditional for the new wife to adopt her groom's family name.

my gf split up with me almost 2 months ago, was talking at first then it got messy. she left it she never wanted to see/speak to me ever again- which after two years pi**ed me off.

anyhow she text me last week asknig for some old photos . she never once said how are you? are you ok?

came across realy bitchy and nothing like her. I text back being polite but then never got a reply.

my mates are telling me she wants me to chase her again though I havent. Im just ingoring her and getting on with my life.

i know you people dont know the full story or her/myself though will she ever get in contact with me again? i do miss her and i just wondering if she miss's me at all?

we were together 2 years just so you know.

stay at home moms in 2007? i used to work, because of loosing almost all of our income to 3 bad daycares over my son's first year, i've been staying home for the last 9mo.
i feel as if i cannot please my husband in doing so. my staying home was just as much his idea as mine.
what do you feel are the most important jobs of a stay home mom? how do you feel about what she needs to get done around the house? how would/do you react if you come home and noctice something like the floors are dirty, or there are toys all over? how does/would it effect your esteem and financial planning to be the only one bringing income to the house?

i have known this bloke for a few weeks and the other day he called and asked if i could help him, he was in garage and his card was refused ..so i gave him my card details ....i checked my bank account the other day and there was 2 transactions on sun and one on tues amounting to £40
i cancelled my card and now have to wait till mon for new one
i asked him if he had been using it he said yes and apologised ...i told him he should have just asked
he said he was a c*nt for doing it
do i trust him again ?
im thinking no
this morning he went to use it again and he had to leave his watch as payment ....

I'm with my bf for almost 6 yrs. We have ups and downs just like others. The thing is, my bf is a little hard to understand. I don't know how to call these, maybe a little paranoid and controlling. He always thought i'm cheating on him, thing that its not true. The worst is, everytime we go out, if he noticed people laughing, he thought that they are laughing on him and he blamed me for that. He thought i did something bad that's why they are laughing on him. He noticed every single movement of my body when we are out like the way i walk, he question why am i walking that way which i know i'm walking normal and etc. He blames me for everything hapenning to him. He plays poker online and he lost big time money. He thought that i did something on his computer that made other ppl saw his card. Thats why sometimes, i react on what he's accusing me and it will end up to a fight. When it comes to this point he thought that i'm looking for a fight again. And a lot lot more.....

My ex of 6 months broke up with me about a month ago. I didn't find out though until later tonight that it was because she felt bored to me, and didn't feel happy to me. The truth is that I'm a really shy guy and she was the first girl that I've ever loved. I felt really shy and didn't know how to act around her or how to treat her and it ended up in a lot of akward silences so I can understand why she feels bored to me. Now she's with another guy, one that she says she feels happy with. She doesn't really understand why I'm so shy to her and I'm so confused. I don't want any move on answers but some solid advice on what to do to get her back and help her understand why I'm so shy to her.

My daughter will be 8 on the 1st May, and we want to do something a bit different, she isn't too bothered whether she has a party, but I wouldn't mind (if the price was right).
We leave in Croydon but can't find out many good venues
I don't really want to do a party at home as I don't want my little one feeling left out and maybe be pushed/knocked about

I got to know her better. Right after the above link her ex came to town (lives in CO, we're in CA) for a week. They are now back together.
I asked if I imagined that she liked me too and she said no, she was sorry though. She said that even though she felt that way about me too we still don't know eachother that well (only a few weeks). She still wants to be my friend and continue to see me even though she is back together with her old boyfriend and engaged.
My question. Why would a woman who hasn't known me for more than a few weeks. We both knew we felt something for eachother. She knows I want to date her. Why would she still want to see me and continue to get to know me.
I don't think she is just being nice. I know that she really does want to keep seeing me. Really, what is this girl thinking. I need womens input on what she is thinking.

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost a year and a half. A few months ago, he began pushing a friendship for a couple girls at our school, that also knew his brother. He seems to spend unusual time with them, like he sat alone in the back of a car with them for a good hour. I also don't know how much time he spends with them, I work a lot and he is at his brother's house a lot, where these girls hang out. Since he's started forming a friendship with them, our relationship has been very rough. One of the girls has even tried to hook arms with him and lean on him. He's hugged them both, and it's unusual for him to hug other people, it took us a long time to be comfortable to hug each other, about a month after we started dating. Do I have a right to feel so jealous and insecure?

So I have just 2 people that i have to have in my bridal party. TJ(my fiance) wants me to include his 2 sisters, whom I dont really know that well, we are completly different and have nothing in common. But TJ has 3 groomsman already, so If I add his two sisters he will have to find another groomsman. What should I do. Either way as it stands we have odd numbers. He has to have those 3 and so I have a nother friend I could ask but what should I do about his sisters?
