I had the misfortune of getting engaged to a Filipina, and as soon as we were engaged, she started asking for money for her family. I would send her money to help her get a passport, and instead, she would give it to her family. The engagement is over, but I just have to wonder what the heck is going through their heads that they expect the guy to support not only her but her parents, brothers, sisters, nephews, and nieces.

The one thing that puts me off marriage is the way the law is in favour for the women. (UK)
Say I owned my own house and she was in rented accomodation we decided she should move in.
And after four years we decided to get wed.
Three years further down the line we became 'incompatible' so we decided to divorce.
From what I understand even though I set her up in MY house she is then entitled to fifty per cent of the house and its contents?

Also If I have a private pension she is entitled to some of it-when I have grafted to pay into this scheme and she has not paid into the scheme.

(I am not 100% sure about how the law is in these situations)

Can anyone elaborate please

I have got to know a girl during my work... SInce then, I have been growing more interest with her... I have date her once to a movie and the second time she ask for a movie... I have not reveal to her that i love her but when i have told her after the second date, through sms, she told me the following... :" mm... I tink we better be friends first... hahaha..." " I have known her for a month now... But I just couldnt really understand her message... My boyfriend and I live in Rhode Island, he is from Texas. We met while he was in the Navy, and he stayed here for me after getting out. Well we are expecting our first baby at the end of May, his mom and sister are coming to stay with us for a week at the end of may begining of june. Which is fine with me, I know that I wont be expected to care for them, they will probably be a big help to me. But the problem is he told me last night he has friends that want to come visit the 2nd or 3rd week in june. They have 2 kids and want to stay with us! I barely know these people, and dont want to worry about entertaining them with a 2 or three week old baby. I know that he misses his friends and family and hate to tell him no, but I just dont think it's a good idea so close to the baby being born... Any suggestions?

I met my ex through a my flatmate and she used to come over to see me and her friend, we recently split up and she seems to spend more time at our flat than ever before, she has practically moved into the other room. i cant even leave my room without seeing her. i feel bad for her because she doesnt like her flat or her flatmates but i find myslef hating being in my own flat because she is always there and i still have feelings for her.

my boyfriend is goin on 19 yrs of age, he lives with his parents and they treat him like a 5 yr old slave and he takes it i love him so it is my buisness when hes depressed...
he wont stand up for himself....

he works from 7-6 as a builder and then comes home to his parents and works on the farm til 9.30 how can he keep doing this

the worst part is he cant go anywhere unless they no who with and their not keen on me at all but my parents love him,...

he can neverr spend a nite anywhere not even at relatives and he has to be home every sunday by 5 for DINNER and mass
