"That's odd", replied the doctor, "Show me what you mean"

So the girl takes her finger and pokes her elbow, and screams in pain. She touches her knee and cries in agony and so on.

The doctor says, "You're not a natural brunette are you?"

"No I'm a blonde", she replies.

"I thought so.... your finger is broken.", replies the doctor.

Heres the question..
From all the cheaters...the shallow..the dating for "fun" people..
the players..the ego divas...the divorce rate...the growing singles in this country...
How would you tell another person that Love is worth it?
Keep in mind this person has heard it all before...
"Ah you will find someone"
"Have faith he or she will come to you"
"When your ready she or he will come to you"
In fact hearing all these promising remarks is what he or she drove her or him to have no respect for love at all...
Now imagine this person is sitting in front of you girl or guy..
and this person has been looking and not looking for a good amount of time...try 15 years ...he or she askes you why should I even continue? You are her or his Last hope before he or she gives up for the rest of her or his life.
How can you convine a person of something that's good if he or she has never know the good of it?

I guy was interested in me for about 3 months.. he called me day after meeting, asked me out on a date the next day,etc.. excpet at that time, i was in a very bad place. i mean, the first date i was saying "i never want to get married" and all that dumb stuff.. he kept calling though.. and i kept that wall up. finally he said he's tired of my crap.. i marinated on it for about a week then i tried a few emails and texts explaining i was going through alot, but no response. i realize now just how much i really liked him and treated him that way bc i was scared to fall in love with him and get hurt.. we have a mutual friend(guy) that's going to try to help me out by talking to him a little first, then setting up for us to meet up.. question is, since he won't even talk to me, does that mean he must've really liked me and i really hurt him? if so, i feel so bad on both levels.. hurting someone and losing someone really interested in me...

Crazy, but after dating MANY girls who (it turns out) were never commited, I found someone who is. Or she found me rather. Now after 2 years she wants to be married. I never felt the chemistry, the conversation is almost painful, and I look forward to time alone. She has great relationship values - strong commitment and good morales/ work ethic being the thing I was looking for. We have some things in common but I seldom have any fun when we share them. I feel I am too old to start over. And every girl I ever loved walked away with no forewarning and little reason. Should I just be alone? I feel like I am acting out the part of my previous ex-girlfriends.

Basically if you skim read my previous 2 questions you will get whats happening but in short I went on this date on tuesday &it went well with her it was nice &we talked a lot &were fairly at ease there wasnt any silence so it was ok but when we got back to her place she said we should do this again sometime I said yeah we snogged for the 2nd time that night and I said me call you or you call me she said lets wait and see what happens.
I gave space y.day by not calling her, wanted2 bt didnt want to seem posessive so I rang her today she told me she was working 6am till 2pm today so I rang her at 10am (2pm now) guessing she may have a break and left a voicemail saying hi &thanks for tuesday you looked great, ur a lovely person love to see you again soon&told her when Im free&2 call or sms bck

if i dont have a guy to flirt with im always really bored, i think its cos im not over my x. Well i went out with a lady on thursday evening and we seemed to get on really well after i had dropped her home i text her to thank her for a nice evening and to say i would really like to see her again so we arranged for this sunday no time just arranged the day. I e-mailed her this morning to ask if we were still on for sunday and it would appear she forgot about it. I really like this lady and i sent her a follow up e-mail just telling her that i really like her and would like to see her more. Was this a good idea or bad? she hasn't replied as yet!

Me and this guy use to date but then we broke up and agreeded to be friends but then he will start to flirt wwith me and he knows I like him. He wants the family thing but yet attitude of single man. Meaning what is his business only pertains to him resents advice or imput about his company life etc. His modo is only speak when spoken too. Verbal, mental and physical abuse have been present. He apologizes but then acts nasty later deleting the good he tried to do to make up. I want this to all work out but I feel lost unmotivated in trying to keep things going when I basically take care of everything. Help plus the fact he tells me hes going to marry me one day and the next hes not. completely confused!
