Tell him he can set it up with you to supervise , and he can have your passwords , and check it and look any time he wants . Maybe if you gain his trust he will let you be on unsupervised later .

I was very leary of myspace, and still am to some degree (lots). My son wanted a space where he could talk to all of his friends, but honestly, I was terrified of the weirdos.

Our solution: We set up his account where not just anyone can contact him. He understands my concerns and has agreed not to talk to anyone he does not already know. He can allow friends from school and church, but he cannot make new friends online.

We are very involved in his activity on myspace and know him well enough to know he will be cautious. If you tend to be a risk taker, I wouldn't open a myspace. It really can be scary.

I have a myspace. All i want to say is you can meet new people online but dont meet them in person. I had a lot of people trying go out with me. I just message them. There are weirdos out there so be careful.
