Even though no one else in the office suspects anything.

You can tell just by the way they act around each other. Thay "act "and" react" with each other differently then they do with every one else in the office. It's easyer to tell with the women! She will either be "stary eyed" when he's around,or she will "go out of her way" to not look at him and make it obvious. She's the one to watch ! Women are easyer to read.

Usually its the secret lunches together, leaving at the same time, etc. i once found out by accident by checking some employee phone bills (for expense claims) and noticed that there were a lot of calls to one particular phone during some very strange non working hours. I looked up the numbers and realised what was going on! Needless to say, it all come out a few months later anyway, but I was smiling as I knew before everyone else clocked on.

I would have to observe how they act around each other. If they try hard not to be alone together, or their conversation is akward and they say as little as possible. I would also observe if they are trying to hard to act natural/normal and are acting anyway but that. If they did have a fling and things didn't work out, I would also look for hostility towards each other.

there clothes are all wrinkled maybe the mans shirt is un-tucked. Zipper undone. The office is in a mess like they had sex and threw everything off of the desk. They have trouble looking at each other because they are embarrassed. they are flushed or sweating. etc....

Probably if their body language towards each other looked a little weird like they were trying to avoid each other. On the other hand they could also be spending too much time together.

They would be looking at each other differently. You would
have to watch closely because they probably wouldn't want
anyone else seeing. They might accidentally slightly brush
up against each other or bump into. Or maybe touch hands.

Too many things can give that one away... mostly by their actions. Especially if they go from being nice to really nice and than sarcastic and mean. And body language is a huge indication. I would say if you're not involved with either one of them then keep it to yourself.

When they touch each other a lot.

People of different sexes touch each other much less than you realize in casual situations. It's that whole "personal space" thing.

Watch for their eye contact and see if they appear to touch each other longer than necessary (like passing papers etc). Unusual interest shows up pretty easily if you look for it.

If I come in early and they're exiting the boss's office while buttoning their disheveled clothing, and the desk blotter contains some suspicious non-ink blottings.
