so, its like this:

my friend and i live together at our college, but our dorm is being worked on for the next week and a half, so we're going to stay with her older brother, he's a few years older than me. now, the issue is that i've had the most massive crush on him since i was like 9. he's drop dead gorgeous, he's smart, he's funny, has his own house, plays in a band..... and he has a girlfriend......

i've wanted to make a move on him forever.... should i try something or not? maybe i should make an indirect move? try to get him to make a move on me? is that wrong? should i just avoid him as much as i can? what do i do here?

i really dont think he's ever gonna break up with her, so i dont know if i'll ever get the shot to tell him how i've felt all this time.

I'm not really a step-mom - but I've lived with my boyfriend since his daughter was 2. (She's now 12) There's been different living arrangements, but for the last four years - she's been living with us during the school week - and does most weekends and holidays with her Mom. I'm very involved in her life - and do the parenting stuff. (Pack lunches - drive her to school everyday - go on girlscout camping trips - help her with homework - chaperone the church youth group events - get her books from the library - talk with her about boys - watch American Idol with her - pray with her - discipline her - encourage her - etc.) And I LOVE parenting.

Latley she's hasn't been doing her homework when she's with Mom on the weekend. Tonight when she came home - I mentioned it to her Mom. And the conversation escalated to "You're way out of line! You're not her Mother!" I know I'm not her mother. I never claim to be her mother.

Has this ever happened to you? Why does it happen?

My friends are getting married in Vegas in April and I don't know what to buy them. They're 28-29 yrs old, and I have no idea what to get them. Do I bring it with me to Vegas or just wait till we all get home to give them a present. There is a whole group going. Any help would be appreciated.

If you decide to take a "break" with a relationship, how long should it last?
Because I want it to be enouph time to allow thinking and time for ourselves, but not too long so that we dont fall out of love or just something like that
Any advice??
Thanks in advance!

My husband has a sizeable inheritance that he had before we were married. His youngest son is now going to college in a prestigious private school. He could come home and go for free practically based on his mothers income. In my opinion it's a waste of money to pay for school anywhere when he could go for free. I should add that he refuses to work. At the college he's in he could potentially put a sizeable dent in the inheritance if he keeps calling home for $10,000 here and $10,000 there. Do I have a right to speak up to my husband about this? He has told me this money is part of our retirement.

If you were with a woman who you got a long great with, would the fact that shes not the race you envisioned yourself with hinder your ability to give in to those feelings?

I was dating an English guy for a year...it was great, but as I was the first black ANYTHING (friend, lover) he'd been with, he couldn't wrap his head around it...it seemed I was easy to forget once he went back.

Is it that important????

Well I just met this girl the 2 weeks ago. I really like her personality, morals, and we seem to get a long great. She has let me know she is interested in me and I have told her the same.

The only big thing I am worried about and that bothers me, is she likes to drink and go to the clubs with her friends....and I don't. I'm very outgoing, but hate clubs and I don't drink. I really would like it if she just didn't but I dont want to be a dictator. I feel like this may be a problem later on if our relationship continues.

My question is, should I accept this and just try to trust her and let go of it, or stand by what I want and not date a girl who drinks? Other than the drinking, I really like her.

When i was 22 (and unmarried), I met a married woman at a bar/ club. She was older, but still relatively attractive and our personalities just clicked. she was out with her friends. seemed to be happy enough about her life, and wasn't outto pick up a guy - she was taken aback by the whole thing.

It turned into a romp in the back seat of her truck.

So now my wife, 43, and a 7 out of 10 for her age, goes out with her freinds dancing once a month, more or less. They have a real blast. She’s come home tipsy. At least one of her freinds, I know, has a small reputation for fluziness. I come to learn she carries a rubber in her purse. i ask why . . . she said she and her freidns agreed they'd all always carry one because of a scare that happened to a mutual freind. its not to use, she assured, it 'just in case'

just in case of what?

i think about it - we’ve been married 17 years and we are very stable, but we don't have a whole lot of sex anymore. i highly highly doubt she'd ever leave me -she’s not going to throw it all away - but could she have gotten boinked or be open to the possibility?

and if so should i get mad? On the one hand, I think what goes around comes around. More importantly, crazy as it sounds, I feel like good for her . . . don't she deserve some?

So, 1) help me assess the liklihood she is, 2) she I stick with the progressive attitude or shift back to a more traditional approach?

I want to ask out this greek girl but im not sure how to go about doing it... Im not sure if i should ask out her father first before i ask her, or if i should ask her out first to see if she wants to go out with me and then ask her dad, either way im pretty sure i have to ask her dad because greeks in general tend to be pretty family oriented i talk to her all the time sometimes on the phone, on aim, and on facebook a lot. She is a year older than me, a sophomore in college and by far the most mature girl i have ever met in my life, i remember her saying that this was all happening at a bad time because she is very dedicated to her schoolwork and said that if she had a boyfriend she would be afraid that she wouldnt be able to give him the time that she wanted to

I worked with this girl 2 summers ago and I had a huge crush on her and I regret not asking her out. I was planning on asking her out last summer but she didn't work there anymore. I saw her a couple times over the summer but I thought it would look weird if I just asked her out after I hadn't seen her for like a year. I doubt she is gonna work there this year but she does live in my town and I still work with her best friend but I don't really talk to her friend that often. What should I do?

Hey. How are you? From the moment we stopped talking, I missed you. I still remember what you said to me the last time we talked, the things you were mad at me about. I've worked on those things to improve myself. A special girl like you is hard to find, you're unlike any friend I've ever had. No other girl is as amazing, wonderful, smart, talented, funny, and beautiful as you. No one else has your light brown eyes that sparkle when you're happy and fade away when you're sad, or your bright smile. I miss when we used to talk and I would really like to work on things and get to know you again. I really care about you and like I said, you're special to me. I'm tired of playing silly games around you, trying to act like you're not when you really are. Without you, I just had to admit that I must be really stupid for not understanding then what you were trying to tell me, that it wasn't anything wrong with me that you didn't like, it was you just didn't share those feelings for me that I

The girl who is jealous of me has just about got me to the point I am sickened by the sight of the guy I'm in love with! I hate seeing him spend one second talking to her. He says I've let her get to me and she'll accomplish what she's set out to. He doesn't know the parrt about me feeling sick to my stomach to see him even speak to her. We all work together. He's friends with both of us. He swears he's not dating her or wanting to, but I still am angry. she has riduculed me for liking him. She's asked him what he sees in me. I swear she's way overstepped her boubds. I bet it's illegal to do all the stuff she's done. All her harassing!!!! She doesn't want me to have friends at all. The guy says she can't pick my friends...but she's trying awfully hard!!!

What do you think I should do?
