Because you are physically touching each other. That's always a good thing.

I'm perplexed on the future tense of the actions, like they were planned...? Eh. In answer to the question I'd have to say becuase of the common connection that so many have placed on this action. I've held my guy friends' hand many times but I have to admit it wasn't til I thought of the common connection, was it that I started to have a question in my mind. Of course I immediatly stopped myself cause I always analyze everything by nature. But mainly I think it's like if one were to compare it to an anxiety disorder. I hate being around a big audience, but only when I actualy notice it does it actually effect me. Then I start to think about the bad breaths and the different perfumes mixing with eachother and all kinds of things. When holding a person's hand thoughts like "wow, were touching skin to skin." and the warmth of that hand come into mind. "Oo what if he likes me?!" "His hand is so soft and he's so nice." And all these come and it make us almost anxious. But these "little things" and these little thoughts make holding hands a postive thing and a simplistic "ness" to life which in turn make it romantic cause like i said, it's skin-to-skin and on a sensitive area that most don't consider to be anything erotic, just a feel good area.

Holding hands can be for friends or someone you date. There is a different way to hold hands with someone you're in love with than just a best friend.

It is a physical bond and it shows that you like that person enough to be with them. As far as holding your friends hand.. do it and find a way to let him know about your crush!

Oh you plan to hold hands is it??? Personally i think you should plan such a thing...its just instantaneous....if the moments are right and the feeling is there in both of you then everything is automatically romantic, whether it is holding hands or a kiss!

I have no idea, it just is. When my boyfriend and I are holding hands and walking sometimes he'll swing out arms back and fourth. I find that so sweet but for no particular reason.

friends hold hands in a diagonal pattern but bf/gf s interlock their fingers. so that might be a subtle way to let this guy know u like him if he doesnt already know. It's romantic because it helps you feel connected and like you can't be seperated and will always be together because of the link. idk maybe thats more pschological then it really is but it sounds good to me.

holding hands is a very intimate way of showing affection. it links the two people literally and its a socially acceptable form of public affection. it says, hey i love you and the whole world should know it. :)
good luck with your friend!
