I remember the little things that my parents have taught me...for example, my father taught me that the people around you can think what they like about you, as long as you have a good impression of yourself. He also taught me how to play many games like backgammon and how to paddle a kayak/canoe. My mother taught me that in baking the measurements have to be EXACT, or it won't turn out properly. She also taught me that you have to try if you expect positive results.

My maid of honor and I got into a conversation over lunch yesterday about engagement rings. She and her boyfriend have been window shopping for engagement rings. I am so excited for her! So, anyway, I'm curious what is your favorite cut of diamond and your favorite "color" of gold?

My ring is white gold with a marquise cut diamond that I absolutely love! Ashley wants a round diamond, but is undecided as to wanting yellor or white gold.

and the separation, he and i have still remained close and intimate. i have always been willing to work things out, but he said he wasnt in love with me. now after everything he wants to come home. he says he misses his kids and he wants to be there for them. he misses the"family" life. i know he cares about me but it isnt true love. he wants to have an exclusive relationship with me but doesnt want to remarry, which is fine because at this point in time i wouldnt remarry him. I am just afraid of getting into this relationship and having him up and leave again since there are no guarantees. not like being married guarantees anything. i just dont want to put my kids through another breakup, nor myself. can a co-existent relationship work? can he fall back in love with me? i know some people would say i am stupid, but this man has been most of my life and i do love him. i think we just fell into a rut and i jumped the gun on the divorce thing. any advice?

Im getting married in oct and we getting ready to start with helip invations and all that good stuff but we've ran into a problem. I dont feel comfortable asking people at work for their home address i would rather just hand them out at work. But my finance and her mom think its tacky and i should mail them. is there anything wrong with handing them out at work. Would people feel comfortable giving out their address.

its this guy. im almost positive he likes me. i kind of like him but he wont ask me out. i really dont want him to because i might say no, but im wondering why he hasnt tried.

this is what he does:
- he took my phone once and called it so he will have my number
- he always jokes about me being is girlfriend and when i say no im not he argues yes i am
- or he will be like we were going out because i broke up with her
- we have keyboarding so once i helped him and i said this is my first time helping you and he said no you helped me last night too (he always makes comments like that)
- he always stares at me
- if he walks by me he has to touch my hair or arm or something

BUT I DONT LIKE THAT
- he does flirt with other girls
- he looks at other girls chest and butt
- we RARELY see each other in the hallways but if we do he ignores me

i know i cant be mad at him for flirting because he is not my man, but still =)

For some reason my ring size is somewhere between a 5 and 5.5. My boyfriend would like to buy me an engagement ring that has small diamonds, pave, all the way around the band. He was told that these rings cannot be sized after purchase. Is it better to go with the 5, which is quite snug, or the 5.5, which is a bit loose? It would not be so loose as to fall off, but it could shift from side to side.

I have a beautiful dress that I bought for my daughter's sweet 16 and it's only been worn once! It's in perfect condition could I sell it at the dry cleaners? I would like to bring it to the cleaners and have it pressed and preserved but at the same time could I just tell the cleaners that the dress is for sale? The dress cost me $900.00. I would sell it for about $750.00 only because I bought it 2 years ago.

Lol the title does not exactly match the question, but when he was leaving coaching the boys soccer team ( I coach girls and we use the same field ) he kept looking back. I think at me. What can this mean? I was also running up an extremely steep hill and he said " C'mon, Fiona, you can do it! " Does he have feelings for me? I know I love him, but how do you think he feels? If he sees me in the hallway ( like today ) he will stop, only for a second, but he stops so much longer at his other friends lockers. Once, I dropped my notepad and he just sort of gave my arm a playful-like kick. We had a business seminar again today and the girls went before the guys and my friend, Kali told me he was looking at me. I didnt dare look back though. I feel like a 6th grader with a stupid crush! i became friends with him because i really liked him. we have been friends for the last 5 years and he considers me to be his best friend. I fell in love with him but he was romantically involved with another girl, so i kept my feelings to myself.
he went abroad to study. we kept in touch via email and phone.
he broke up with her a 6 months back and his calls have increased over this time period. he misses her alot and has started doping to get over her. he misses work and cuts college classes just to think about her. i have been worried about him. he says he loved her and will love no one else.
today he mailed me asking sincere advice on what he should do.
i told him if she meant that much to him, that he should try to work things out with her. and he better do it now than wait for her to come back. what is most important, is that he should be happy.

it broke my heart saying that. but i meant it.
