my girlfriend and i have been together for quite a while. next month it will be our 1 year anniversary and i love her. my best friend i have known since like 7th grade and he can't stand her for reasons too long to list here. he tells me to break up with her for his reasons and she tells me not to hang out with him for her reasons. everytime i want to hang out with her he is calling me to go with him, anytime i go hang out with him she tells me if i don't go with her she will get mad at me. i'm in a lose-lose situation. this has been going on for a while now and i really don't know what to do. i don't want to choose. anybody with a similar situation, and how did you handle it?

The man I was dating thought I wanted something a lot more serious than him, so I was "dumped." Because I am not a chaser, I accepted it, stopped calling and making an effort to see or speak to him. I see him often (at work), and act normal as though nothing bugs me. Now, he acts as though he is back to being 'flirty', i.e., rubbing my back, saying flirty things, being extremely nice. I act as though it doesn' t phase me..But I'm wondering, why the mixed signals? Don't you think if he 'got rid' of me, he'd stop making an effort to be around me at least? Perhaps because I didn't chase him, he is curious again? What do you think? Thanks :)

I am 18 years old and I never got laid, I am still a vergin as we speak. And I am a normal straight guy that loves women but I have zerro luck with women. It seems to me that i would never get laid! I tired of being a vergin! All my friends got laid at 13-14, but never past 18! I feel so ashamed of myself that I am a vergin that I might get desperate eniugh to pay a hooker. But the only reason I would not do that is because I don't want it to fall off a year later!. So anyone have any seggestion to an unsuccesfull dude like me?

Today a girl I know pretty well from school but never hang out with asked me if I wanted to babysit with her on Saturday. She's never asked me anything like this before and honestly, I think it's a little strange to ask someone this. I would be going over to someone else's house and hanging with her and the kid she looks after.

My exboss whom I have had little contact with in the last 5yrs mailed me an invite 2 a lrg party/charity event in which she will be honored. She also enclosed a card stating how much it would mean to her if she could see my partner and I there. She is also the head chair of this charity where she will be honored. The tickets are $75. I orginally thought that this was an exclusive event, but it is a public event held at a lrg venue. I have sent her a number of invites over the yrs to parties/events and other FREE functions in which I would be hosting and she has never shown up or called. I also send her a holiday card every yr and she never has sent one in return.
I know that she has always been an ultra selfish person but I think this really takes the cake! Can't believe that she wants us to pay $150 to go to an awards event that she PROB voted herself into! I feel guilty about it,so I sent a check to the charity and put on the memo that I was her friend. Thoughts?

It seems like when they ARE interested, they eventually end up liking me as a friend. I was sort of just hanging out w/this one guy and we got along SO well. We totally clicked and now all of a sudden, he likes some other girl. This keeps happening to me. I go from guys liking me to the same guys seeing me as their best friend.

I had this weird dream last night that my sister in law tried to kill me! She has never liked me & last year when she was hear she was so mean to me! Plus she is a drug additic & I do not trust her. In the dream she and two losers showed up with guns. I locked myself in my den & got out a window but I can't get to sleep tonight 'cause it is still on my mind! Is this just weird? When I woke up it felt like it was going to happen! And when my hubby told me she might visit at easter I got worried!
He says I'm nuts by the way!
When she was here last year she changed my living room around & when I told her to stop she said it was her brothers house & we got into a big fight & me & my son left to a hotel until she left!

My best friend (for a few years) and I have recently fallen head over heels for each other - we were not expecting this at all - we truly care and adore each other but we decided that right now is not a good time in our lives to have that serious relationships we long from each other. He's been STRESSED with financial/schoo/work - as for me too but we're still great friends.

I heard that SOME guys will play hard to get with the girl so that the next time the girl sees them, she'll "miss him" and want him more - flirtier. I notice with this guy is that he'll say "you need to get over me" yet he'll initiate the moves and his actions show that he REALLY wants to be with me. Then after we'll "get close", he'll "limit" himself but not completely avoid me. I'm confused - i thought he didn't want a relationship right now - i thought he wanted something serious for later? and why did he say that we needed to get over each other?

Why do Americans always seem to misspell words? Why do they always use " THEN" when it should be "THAN" and "YOU'RE" instead of " YOUR?"

Why do Americans use erroneous sentences? I thought the English language was their default language.

The cat is over THERE, not the cat is over THEIR.

Stop using Their and There incorrectly; those two words are baby words.

I feel upset and I don't know why. Can someone help me sort out my feelings about this? We're both young, just 21. I don't have a boyfriend, am I just jealous? My boyfriend and I have been dating for about 2 yrs now and the topic of us getting married has been brought up several times by him. Recently he has told me that he has been talking to one of his old buddies who has just moved back stateside. I was comfortable with him talking to her, they talk about once a month. Just recently I asked him what their last conversation was about(I was curious) and he said that he asked her "Were just friends right?" I asked why would you need to ask her that if she already knew? He really did not have a straight answer. I felt that there was more being discussed then what he was telling me. (He also had told me that he had once thought of her as attractive, I don't feel those feelings ever really change) he said not to worry, its no big deal. Is he trying to make me feel insecure, so that I will committ to him with an engagement ring, which he is alwasy wanting me to wear?

Okay. I'm in high school and there is this cool girl in one of my classes. This girl DOES have a boyfriend which is why I am extremely confused.

1. She is always with me in this class.
2. When there is a missing chair or something, we share one chair.
3. She leans her head on my shoulder, tickles me, or finds any possible way to touch me.
4. She blushes when I stare at her.
5. She always smiles and laughs when I say something.
6. We always hug when we leave each other.
7. I drink out of her water bottle sometimes and she's fine with it.

I think she likes me and I like her back. She is definatly forward and I would be to with her, but in the back of my head there is always "She has a boyfriend, don't go too far!"
Today she was standing in front of me, I put my arms around her waist and she loved it.
I am extremely confused! Is she teasing me? Is she messing with my feelings? It's getting to a point where I can't stop thinking about her, but I don't wanna get heart broken.
