He doesn't want her. But they are friends. He tries to get it across to her that she doen't have his attention. I do. This girl seems to enjoy trying to embarrass me about him!

Always take the high road. Let her make a fool out of herself.
This can only make you look better in his eyes when he sees how classy and unrattled by her.
Every immature thing she does, only makes you look that much better. No guy wants to be hooked up with a flake for a woman. Just smile, shake your head and say very little about it to him AND to her.
He knows she is trying to make you look bad. I'm sure he sees it for what it really is and is ignoring her remarks.
I'm sure he doesn't even listen to her.

This is really interesting story. If they are friend and still he do not want her to be his girl friend. I do not think you have any competition. Go ahead and ask him out.
But onus is on you to get him talking in your lingo. as far as the girl is concerned she may raise point with him as well you. But if he is not interested in her, you do not have to worry about anything at all.

I ran into this same problem with my husband when we were dating about 5 years ago. I told him that he needed to stand up and be a man when his "friends" tried to embarrass me. If he loves you, he will explain to her that some of her comments upset you and if she wants to remain friends with him, she needs to act cordial and polite to you. You don't deserve that!

Speak to her in a sincere tone, and tell her that you really feel bad, and you also feel sorry for her that she cannot move on. Hopefully, she'll despise being pitied by you and move on.
