My best friend (for a few years) and I have recently fallen head over heels for each other - we were not expecting this at all - we truly care and adore each other but we decided that right now is not a good time in our lives to have that serious relationships we long from each other. He's been STRESSED with financial/schoo/work - as for me too but we're still great friends.
I heard that SOME guys will play hard to get with the girl so that the next time the girl sees them, she'll "miss him" and want him more - flirtier. I notice with this guy is that he'll say "you need to get over me" yet he'll initiate the moves and his actions show that he REALLY wants to be with me. Then after we'll "get close", he'll "limit" himself but not completely avoid me. I'm confused - i thought he didn't want a relationship right now - i thought he wanted something serious for later? and why did he say that we needed to get over each other?

Nope. It is not always true. in More cases it is the girl who play hard to get.
But still, the way you are putting it, you seems to be very mature and sensinble kind of girl beyond your age. Generaly, guys and girl fall in love when they are fast friend. But it is very common. If you make a good couple there is no problem in getting along.

If you believe that, then u need to reevaluate your thoughts. Guys are very simple minded creatures. If this dude wants you, he would have you. Obviously he's not that into you and you would probably do better to go somewhere else for a relationship. Most men say what they mean, where as women read into things. Take everything he says at face value and you should be fine.

Thta's dumb. Men are not supposed to act that way-women are! Don't be with a man who acts so childish. I think you should act the way he is acting and turn everything to your advantage. Read THE RULES..very informative.
