Hey guys, If a man winks at you when you say goodbye but sorta looks away and smiles does it mean he definately fancies you? Or could it just be a friendly gesture?? For what reasons would you wink at a woman who wasn't a family member? If my instincts say he fancies me am I most likely correct?

Background info:

My sister and her family lives in Japan and can only visit for long extended stays during the summers (she's a teacher).

My fiance and I LOVE autumn in Chicago...want a wedding October 4th, 2008.

As you can see....that's not a summer month. So the chances that my one and only sister (who I'd love to make a bridesmaid) and my lil nephew (my ringbearer) are very slim.

Both parents continue to say "Why can't you have your wedding in the summer?" Summers in Chicago are comparable to hell....high humidity, lots of tourists, and so many weddings to compete with.

My sister said she has a long weekend on October 4th....so she could possibly fly in Thursday and then leave on that Sunday (but coming from Japan...that's no easy feat). My sister said "Monica, don't let me dictate when you should have your wedding...but to think I would miss my only sister's wedding."

Ughhh...what do I do? Summer '08 or October '08. I love my sister! I love autumn!

Obviously, I don't want to look in bars or clubs. I already belong to a wonderful singles small group at my church. I am in my late 20's & enjoy most things others enjoy. Where should I look? What should I try?

There is this guy that I have been doing this crazy back and forth thing with for 2 months now. We get together, we fight, we break-up. The last time we broke-up, lasted longer than usual. We kept in contact, texting back and forth. Saw him Friday. He told me he loved me. I kinda blew him off. I was out Saturday with friends, and I saw him in the bar with another woman. I was being vindictive, sent him a text saying so this is love. He calls the next day, and now we are trying to work things out. He says he and the other girl went out 3 times, because he thought we were over for good. Does 3 times make a relationship? Am I stealing another womans boyfriend?

My ex-boyfriend who lives in Australia came over to visit me earlier this month.

I took him out to a few places but when i did he was distant, snidy, rude and nothing like the guy i had been talking to over the internet for the last 2ish years - even when we were simply chilling at my house. In the end we decided to break off, and carry on as friends - no pressure.

I thought that this was a mutual thing because soon he was acting normal and aside from actually being civil, took me out to lunch on the last day of his time over here.

About two days after he got back home, i started to get horrible e-mails off him, he was cruel and rude in the messages, and he even e-mailed my sister!

I eventually told him to grow up and that i never wanted to talk to him again. It all went quite for a while, but then i got a message left at my house saying that a parcel has been dilivered to me. I think its from him but i don't know what to do about this.

Advice on this welcome!

Does anyone know the correct seating plan for the top table? Do you split up the parents of the bride and groom or do they sit together?

my neighbor, this guy is turning 34. his girlfriend of 2 years said her family is against her relationship because she only revealed about it now. she said she wasn't sure it'd work out, so she kept it quiet. they moved in together now & the girl is petrified her family will disown her when they find out. my neighbor's family knows about this move & on their side, they are happy for them. i feel sorry for the girl though. she seemed distracted, anxious & can hardly sleep or eat. she said she's depressed & seeks therapy. poor guy, i feel this is too much for him to handle pretty soon. what to do?

My boyfriend and I just started dating and he broke up with his ex about two weeks ago. Now, she still pretends like they are still dating like she calls him up and messages him saying how much she loves him and cant wait to him next (they live a couple states away) and hes told her that their relationship is over but shes just avoiding it and pretending nothings happened. I think its because hes a really nice guy and the guy she dated before him was very abusive so shes kind of doesnt want to let him go and is the "obedient" type. I dont know what to do, because even if I mention to her that we are dating, she'll probably avoid that too. How can I/he get it through her thick skull?

Lately I've been doing something that I swore I wouldn't ever do: messing around with a guy without first being in a relationship. We're not having sex, but there have been a few "sleepovers" in which we do fool around a bit.

We have a lot of mutual friends and they all tell me that he's interested in dating me, but has trouble trusting women because his fiance cheated on him. It's been 5 years and he still hasn't gotten involved with any other women. He's been on a few first dates, but no seconds. He told one of my best friends the other night that he wishes he could trust women because he really would like to get back into a relationship.

What do you think about the situation? Am I just setting myself up to be hurt because he isn't ready to start dating again? How can I get to the first date with him?

I know that it's going to take him quite a bit of time to open up, but I'm willing to wait a while for him.
